The Wrestling world mourns the loss of another all time great. Roderick Toombs, better known to he world as “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has passed away at the age of 61 from cardiac arrest.

Piper will probably be best remember as a longtime rival of Hulk Hogan during the Hulkamania Era of the 1980s, but he had a long history in NWA Territories before that. His Dog Collar Match with Greg Valentine for the US Title at the original Starrcade is still remembered as an all time great match.

Over his 45 year career, Piper won over a dozen singles titles, including three NWA/WCW Us Titles, and the WWF Intercontinental Title. He was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2005.
