WWE, 2002 – WrestleMania 18 (or X8 at the time) was headlined by one of the biggest dream matches at the time. Hulk Hogan had made his return to the then World Wrestling Federation after spending seven years in WCW. Hogan, still in his Black And White NWO look, stepped into the ring with the biggest star in the company, The Rock. The NWO was running roughshod over WWE, and the evil Hogan had even hit Rock’s ambulance with a semi-truck. The plan was to have the returning babyface Rock get his revenge on the dastardly Hogan and NWO.
However, the reaction from the Toronto crowd made for a very surreal environment.
