World Wrestling Federation, 1992 – Ric Flair had recently made his much hyped WWF debut, feuding with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and claiming to be “The Real World’s Champion”. Flair interfered in the World Title Match, costing Hulk Hogan the championship to The Undertaker. The following week, Hogan used Undertaker’s urn as a foreign object to win the title back. Due to the controversy behind both title matches, then WWF President Jack Tunney stripped of the title.
This brings us to the 1992 Royal Rumble, where the winner of the Royal Rumble Match would be declared the new WWF Champion.
