Night Three of the Road To Dontaku was again filled with primarily tag matches. Results are posted for Nights One and Two.
Yota Tsuji s. Yuya Uemera with a Boston Crab – This is the third match in as many days between the two, and it’s probably the rubber match. Tsuji grounded Uemera and put him in a Half Crab. After getting the rope break, Uemera rallied and put Tsuji in a full Boston Crab. Tsuji struggled, but was able to make the rope break. Tsuji countered with a shoulderblock. The two traded dueling strikes. Tsuji hit a spear, followed by a powerslam for a near fall. When Uemera kicked out, Tsuji immediately put him in a Boston Crab for a submission.
Toa Henare p. Shota Umino with a Uranage – This match kicked in high gear right from the start. Henare got the upper hand with his power. Umino made his comeback and got a two count with a missile dropkick. The match turned into fisticuffs, with each man hitting strikes. It was a losing battle for Umino, because Henare was able to get the better of the striking contest, and managed to get the pin with a Uranage.
Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, & El Desperado) p. Satoshi Kojima, Yuji Nagata, & Ren Narita when Kanemaru pinned Narita with a Deep Impact DDT – As soon as Narita hit the ring, the heels pounced on him. Nagata and Kojima quickly ran out to make the save. Narita tried to take the fight to Suzuki, which quickly turned out to be a mistake because Suzuki managed to hook the arm into a submission. The match spilled to the floor where the heels dominated. Once the match got back in the ring, Narita was at their mercy. Kojima got the hot tag and scored a near fall on Suzuki with a Koji Cutter. Suzuki tried for the Gotch Pilerdriver, but Kojima countered and his a boot for a double down. Nagata and Desperado got the double tag. Nagata ran wild on the Junior Heavyweghts. Narita pleaded for a tag, and Nagata obliged. The babyfaces triple teamed Kanemaru. Suzuki broker that up, which allowed Kanemaru to hit his Deep Impact DDT for the win.
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Dragon Lee, Togi Makabe, Toru Yano, & Tomoaki Honma b. Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Taichi Ishimori, & Jado) when Yano pinned jado with a roll-up – The heels attacked Honma from behind, but Honma fended them off and tried a Kokeshi on Jado. Jado moved and threw Honma to the floor. After a brawl on the floor, the heels worked over Honma when the match got back in the ring. Eventually Makabe got the hot tag and ran wild on both Guerillas. Yano tagged in and immediately removed a turnbuckle pad. That backfired because he got whipped into that exposed buckle. The heels triple teamed. Jado tried to use his shinai, but the ref took it away. Yano managed to hit Jado with a low blow, and roll him up from behind to steal the pin.
After the match, bullet Club got a measure of revenge by beating the babyfaces down.
Hirooki Goto, IWGP US Champion Juice Robinson, Ryusuke Taguchi, & Mikey Nicholls b. Bullet Club (Jay White, Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, & Hikuleo w/Gedo) when Robinson pinned Hikuleo with Pulp Friction – The babyfaces managed to cut off Owens and team up on him as Taguchi directed them. Gedo managed to grab Owens and keep him from getting hit with a quadruple dropkick. That gave the heels the momentum, and they all stalked Taguchi. Goto got the hot tag and ran wild. Juice tagged in and again tried to slam Fale. He still wasn’t successful. Fale and Hikuleo double teamed Juice which brought about the usual multi-man brawl. Juice hit Hikuleo with the Left Hand Of God, and followed up with a Pulp Friction for the win.
IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kota Ibushi, Jyushin Thunder Liger, & YOSHI-HASHI b. Suzuki-Gun (Rev Pro British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, & Taka Michinoku) when YOSHI-HASHI submitted Michinoku with The Butterfly Lock – Ibushi and Sabre began, with the babyfaces getting some teamwork in on Sabre. However, Sabre countered with a neck twist. This opened the door to the heels triple teaming Ibushi. Liger got the hot tag and ran wild against Taichi and Taka. Taichi tried to unmask Liger. Hashi got the tag, but fell to the numbers. Ibushi broke a pin attempt and cleared the ring of the heels. Hashi made his comeback and applied the Butterfly Lock for the submission.
Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, EVIL, SANADA, BUSHI, & Shingo Takagi) b. CHAOS (IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Sho, Yoh, & Rocky Romero) when Takagi pinned Romero with a Last Of The Dragon – Yoh and Takagi began. But when EVIL tagged in, he demanded Ishii. Ishii obliged and the two exchanged an extended series of dueling forearms. Evil managed to deck Ishii with a shoulderblock and went for a Scorpion Deathlock. Ishii blocked with the ropes and tagged out to Sho. The babyfaces rallied when Sho and Yoh hit a double dropkick. They worked over Bushi until Bushi countered with a double hurricanrana. Sanada tried to put Yoh in the Paradise Lock, but Yoh escaped and got the hot tag to Okada. After Okada got his flurry of offense, Sanada put him in the Paradise Lock. After dropkicking him, Sanada tried for the Skull End. Okada escaped, and there was a double tag out to Sho and Takagi respectively. They battled to a stalemate before Rocky tagged in. Rocky ran wild until he fell to a double team. Sho broke up a pin, which lead to the multi-man brawl with everybody hitting their big moves. Eventually, the heels cleared the ring, and Takagi hit a Pumping Bomber and a Last Of the Dragon to get the pin.
After the match, Takagi cut a promo saying Roppongi 3K should shine the belts for him.
