Just watched the pilot as well.  Agree on every point you have made.  It's just really well done on all aspects.  Was fun noticing all the references to other DC comics and future issues Flash will be dealing with.

Link, please and thank you.

I read a review,  from what I can tell he adds a ton of shit that's not in the book, or any of the books

In other words, I better wait until it's out on DVD like I did with the LOTR movies....

The only time I don't have conference pride is this season and a couple of seasons back because fuck Auburn and fuck Cam Newton

You should be saying fuck Mark Richt for achieving nothing despite having a state full of talented guys year in and year out but he squanders it each year. He wanted Cam Newton as a TE btw.

Sad, looks like that and the GL series are being cancelled to make room for the new Batman series and the return of Teen Titans Go

I think this is it for me in watching any superhero cartoons. They both are excellent especially Young Justice. I think it has surpassed Justice League Unlimited as the best one in recent times.

DVR picked up Johnny Test again.

Programming times getting thrown off seems common to Sundays..

Nah, CN did a VERY last minute program change and took DC shows off the air until Jan for whatever reason.  :fr:

Rant incoming.  Putting it in spoiler tags, so don't read it, if you don't want to hear it, but I can promise Oliver being a stone cold killer is not my issue:
The writing on the show is...  not good.

Ok, so Oliver goes on a cruise with a detectives daughter and his girlfriends sister, who he cheated on her with, and they both die.  I can understand secretly wishing he was the one who died, but they were basically acting like he's responsible for the tragedy.  I mean, come on, it was a freak accident..  How much blame could you really lay on the man?

So, Arrow's a stone cold killer..  He's Punisher with a bow and arrow, basically.  Fine, except he kills everyone except the main bad guy.  He kills his bodyguards just to make a stupid threat, and when the rich bastard refuses to deliver, he breaks into his building and kills more bodyguards and god knows who else, just to use a trick arrow to hack into his computer network and steal his money.

Some points on why this is stupid:

1.  Why even give him a chance to make good?  Did he really think the rich asshole would knuckle under.

2.  Batman would not have charged in and killed everyone, even if he was a killer.  Hell, Punisher would have been smarter then that.  If his goal was only to hack his system, there's so many better ways to go about it..  How about sneaking into the building when all the police you alerted with your stupid threats aren't there, for example?

3.  If he MUST make a show with all the killing, why not kill the rich guy AND steal his money?  He's the ONLY guy who actually deserves to die..  The other people he kills are just doing their job.  So why stop short of driving an arrow through the mans heart?

4.  Considering all the crime drama's out there, I think by now everyone knows when there's a murder, there's usually a through investigation.  Yet somehow, they completely miss the arrow sticking out of the wall with a router like light blinking on the tail end of it. O_o  I mean, didn't anyone ask him for a detailed account of what happened?  Didn't they look for evidence on the scene?  How long was that arrow sticking out of the wall, anyways?  And the blinking connectivity light is just dumb...
Yesterday's episode was even better than the last. I hope CN doesn't muck this up so it is the BEST superhero show going and in fact, has surpassed JL and JLU.

I am not sure about his whereabouts Doc. Looking ahead in the episode guides, no mention of him either.

I had wondered why they didn't use the same actor.

New show, fresh start with no ties to Smallville.

Teenage temptation. The same reason Conner took those pathes from Lex.

True. Kind of interesting that they had a shrine to Jason Todd aka Robin #2 The Aqualad/Artermis undercover deal is going to be crazy since Sportsmaster and Jade now want revenge along with Ms. Martian due to her bf being captured.

Excellent episode with Hal becoming a member of the Honor Guard and introducing the Man-hunters, he Anti Monitor, Guy Gardner as the new GL of earth. Wonder if Jon Stewart is going to make an appearance eventually.

I thought it was a quality episode. We dive right into Speedy's return and his transformation into Arsenal. Also great that Red Arrow and Arsenal co-exist now.

Plus a Captain Cold cameo. Then planting the seeds for Sportsmaster's family vs the Black Mantas.

It was a great episode.  So many things going on right now. My question is why the  Original Roy would accept that arm knowing it is probably tainted when he probably could have got one from Star Labs.

Just saw this on EW (didn't watch the trailer I'm at work)
http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/06/29/the-man-with-the-iron-fists-trailer/#more-75510

Doesn't look like it has anything to do with the comic - but I wonder if it would affect the eventual production of a Marvel movie - probably not. Batista is in it

Two entirely different characters and storylines though I can't wait to see this one.
