glad to admit it i'm wrong in this case.  went by a tru and they already have this display.  i would have gotten akeem, bam bam, and miz, but you have to purchase on 7/3 (or later).  i just hope they are still there on 7/3.  looked like they got at least 3 cases of legends and elites.

You can buy them now and bring back your receipt on the 3rd or after and return* then re-purchase them again.

*= They just print out a new receipt to work out for the Vince figure deal.

all the pegs in the wrestling section are full.  i doubt they'll manually order anything and the auto-order probably won't order anything for the either.

Actually these new figures are all coming in for this promotion. It's a gigantic cube with Vince on the sides of it. All the sets I listed above, which are being shipped to TRU before other retailers for this promotion, so don't  give up hope yet.

TRU just started getting all of these in, so if you have one near you check it out, but check back on Sunday if you don't see anything before then.

Figures have to be bought from July 3rd to Sept something for the promotion, so sorta yeah, but sorta no too.

No argument, just noticed he'd ape'd my sig and called him on it. Arguing is for the Politics forum.

SO, back to figures... Starting this coming Sunday, TRU has a new promotion where if you buy 4 eligible figures, send in your receipts and UPC's from said figures, you can get a n elite Vince Mcmahon figure.

Eligible figures are Elites, Legends and Defining Moments. TRU is receiving Basic 11, Elite 9 Legends 5 and DM 3 for the sale.

What does that have to do with wrestling figures?

Has anyone else ever bought a figure that has one leg that's longer than the other?  My DM Warrior has that problem.  It's kind of messed up, because it makes him lean to one side.

Has nothing to do with figures. Just figured since you ape'd my sig, you should have some factual info there.

Yeah, it happens. You might want to check his ankle joints as they might not be pegged correctly, you can try heating it with a hair dryer and see if it corrects itself, or just return it for a new one.

You should have given him the Big Gold Belt instead.

You should get a new sig. That says Building 7 was PULLED.

Sterilized imagination is how I'd describe the movie.

Just bland and blah. Another DC failure, IMO.

My understanding of the Superman situation is the Siegel & Shuster estates would gain the rights to the name Superman, and the original likeness. Notice the S is in a triangle and not a diamond.

And thus they would own the original powers. Remember originally Superman couldn't fly, and didn't have the heat vision, freeze breath, etc.... This would be the "more powerful than a locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound" Superman.

DC would own the modern look, and presumably the look of the George Perez picture

Notice the "red underpants" look is gone (thank God), and the S is a little more stylized. I still think there will be some sort of settlement that will keep Supes in the DC Universe, but that's just me. Still, a guy that looks like Superman without the names "Superman", "Clark Kent", "Lois Lane", "Krypton", etc.... will be a tough pill to swallow.

Well, no, you are sort of in the right direction though. Superman will be shared rights thru DC & The Shuster/Seigel clans. What this means for DC is that they are creating a new mythos for the character. What this also means is that the S & S Fams can also go to say Marvel with those same character elements from the original, but also using the Iconic S shield and have them publishing a Superman comic as well as DC.

I'm not sure how or when this stuff will be retconned again. The main reason for the entire reboot is the Superman lawsuit. So, DC is changing Superman. I don't think his origin will be the same as has been all these years, the S-shield is different, some rumors that his abilities are somehow weakened/gone and the reason for the armored look of the costume is to help his with that loss.

It's odd. Not sure that I like where this is going, but in the end its the same old crap. I do not like the idea of 4.99 for a comic w/digital download. That is obscene.

Some fans searched the code on DC's blog and found Superman, Superboy & Supergirl covers.

Rock is in, he posted a video on FB either last week or over the weekend with the 'Joe logo and showed footage of him and another actor going thru an action scene. He looked huge.

Rob Liefeld's art.

Brett Booth actually.

I liked Monarch.

Looks like with today's announcement's some of the Wildstorm characters are getting integrated into the new DCU as well.

Tomorrow we should have the Superman announcements.

Looks like Stormwatch is now a part of the DCU, along with gay-superman, Apollo and gay-batman, Midnighter.

as well as Grifter.

don't get the ringside exclusive hogan/sting set.  they are basic figs so they have shitty leg articulation.  my wife got the set for me cause it was on my wish list.  i would have rather her got me the hogan w/ abyss.  i would have tossed the abyss and then gotten the surfer sting.

i will say that i like the belt straps a lot on the tna figs.  they made of a frabric material attach much easier by wrapping around with velcro.

i also got legends macho man so its shaping up to be a good birthday.   :drink_mini:

Happy Belated Birthday. Those belt straps are the same the 1 of 500 WWE chase belts Jakks released for them. I have one of the three they made and they really are a step above their usual plastic slide straps.

Currently working on a Mattel Rhino.

i thought for sure that my X-Men #1 (vol.2, 1991) with the pull-out, wrap-around cover would be going for 60 or more.  either they just aren't old enough yet, or since the recession hit, people have been unloading their collections out of desperation, thus flooding the market.

hopefully if i hang on to them for another 10 years, their value may creep back up.  i should probably wait until the US dollar recovers anyway

That comic has the highest print run of any comic book ever made. If you can find someone willing to pay 10 bucks to you, you should sell it. You can usually find it cheap at any comic con or store. Like a buck or less.

So I know this isn't figure related, but wasn't sure where else to share this. Started working on a pin up, Punk with Rey on his shoulders before GTS~! So, here are some work in progress shots.

For those of us not awesome enough to make a masked Punk, there is one on the way

Looking forward to this, but I'll put the long haired scan on this body when I get it and put this bald head on the yellow all stars Punk.

Just saw it Good stuff. A little slow in parts, but good.

I liken it more to the 2nd Hulk movie than Iron Man though in terms of pacing.

Found basic 10 @ TRU. Got Barrett, passed on the rest for now, Ryder looks good, but I want the elite version. HHH's head scan is his best yet. Decided what to do with Elite 8 Drew McIntyre... with use of an old Billy Kidman head scan, I give you.. Alberto Del RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIO!
