Meltzer reported that TNA was cancelled by DA, Dixie came out and strongly denied it, and her surrogates bashed Meltzer for the report.  Well, the fact is, the show was cancelled, and Meltzer was right.

Yet PWInsider reports that DA met with TNA people about Fall programming, which would be after the reported cancellation. Assuming both reports are true, that would mean DA cancelled the show THEN started talking about Fall to 2016 programming? That doesn't make sense unless something changed.

My point about Meltzer being worked was more the bringing in of ROH.

How is the ROH thing an example of Meltzer getting worked on the TNA story?  Destination America pulling the ripcord on TNA was initially spun by commentators as them wanting out of wrestling, but I figure the truth is they want out of the business of TNA and/or that specific deal.

It would seem the people that talked to Meltzer either didn't tell him or didn't know about the ROH deal. If they knew and didn't tell him, then they worked him, correct?

FWIW The Destination America website still lists Impact on Fridays. That can't be a good sign.

If it was with someone within TNA, it was well documented no one within TNA knew of the ROH deal until the day it went public

I was meaning whatever people in DA that Meltzer talked to.

The main reason why I thought TNA management would've known about ROJ getting a deal is because it's a bit unprofessional to court a competitor without bothering to tell anybody. But that is apparently what happened.

1. That's two separate issues.

2. "Worked" would indicate to me that something they told him about TNA was intentionally misleading and I don't see any evidence of that.

...and what do you think that says about DA's thoughts on TNA?  Exactly.

No, working him would be, for example, denying something when it was in fact true.  Him not knowing about the ROH deal just means that DA (and ROH management as well) was good at keeping the negotiations a secret.  I'd argue, though, that TNA was worked because they were trying to negotiate and were blindsided by the fact that DA signed ROH, something which would be material to any negotiations that were going on.

So DA not telling Meltzer is not working, but DA not telling TNA is working? Maybe I'm slow and missing something.

Do we at least agree that DA courting a competitor is a bit unprofessional? If they did it to TNA, what's to stop them from doing it to ROH?

You are missing something and CJC's examples explain it perfectly.  The ROH thing was related, but DA didn't work Meltzer by giving him accurate info about TNA while neglecting to tell him about this other promotion working a deal.  Like CJC said, had they fed Meltz false information then he got worked.  They didn't.  They just didn't tell him about something else that might be of interest to him, but none of his TNA info was misleading or inaccurate so far as we know.

TNA, who you would think should be privy to that kind of information, got worked to a degree because they had no idea that their network was negotiating with another wrestling promotion.

DA has pulled the 8PM showing, ROH will now only air at 11PM showing. No reason was given, but "Bigfoot In America" has taken its place.

ROH's ratings died in their 2nd month. The product is solid, but their production values are real dogshit.

That's been pretty much my view too. The "wrestling" content is fine, it just looks like it was filmed out of a closet for $2.
