Topic: Best games last gen?

Now that it's over, what were the standouts?

Personally, I had the most fun with the Rayman games.  Best 2d style platformers since the 8 bit/16 bit era.

But Sonic Generations comes close.  The 2d "classic" levels make the game a must buy alone, with the 3d bits as nice added value.

My gaming slowed down a lot this last gen. One I most remember though was Metal Gear Solid 4. It was the system seller for me.

MGS4 was kind of disappointing too.  I liked 2 and 3 much better.

2 and 3 were brilliant.

I really enjoyed the MGS4 cut scenes on Youtube. 

It's a shame Generations didn't sell well enough to call for a sequel..  Not sure if the poor sales are a result of the fragmentation between pre and post Adventure fans, or loss of good will after years of terrible games.  But Generations is essentially to Sonic what the hd remake of Final Fantasy is to that franchise...

Did you get Dragon's Dogman?  Dark Arisin just had a sale.

Haven't playes it yet, but it sounds like Dark Souls with a Devil May Cry type hack 'n slash mechanics.

Never did.  What system?  I only had a 360 and PC last gen

I got it for the 360.

Was about 6-7 on sale, but you should be able to get it cheap enough from Gamestop, or Amazon or something.  And make sure it's the Dark Arisin version, it has all the vanilla content included with the new stuff..
