What specifically are you talking about? The Taken King was a paid add on (although I did bitch about the price), and if you bought the game new following TTK's you got that add on for free. All weapon/armor/gear updates since then have been free.

Finally earned a Platinum in Destiny recently....planning on finishing The Taken King and doing the raids for a 100%.

About fed up with Bungie/Actvision.  Way too many updates, and the business models too much like a goddamned  "free to play, pay to win" game. 

Was expecting something like Borderlands, with a full experience base game, and optional content.  Instead, I get an mmorpg ala World of Warcraft where end game content gets locked out if you don't upgrade.

Just pre-ordered the new September DLC, can't wait!

Still playing the base game. 

I'll be honest, only bought it because Halo coop is unplayable, and this is the next best thing.  Almost never touch it gaming alone.

It is pretty good fun, but I still prefer Borderlands games for the style (Essentially Mad Max vs Halo mmo.)
