RAW is Watch Tomorrow
« on: July 18, 2016, 08:09:30 PM »
Foley is RAW GM and Raw will now have a Cruiserweight division which is a great idea if they let them do their thing like Nitro used to do. Opening Raw with a great 10 minute match is a much better way to start a show than a 20 minute talkfest.

Daniel Bryan announced as the Smackdown GM. That's actually a good pick.

I am hoping that two Face GM's means they won't really be involved much and just be entertainment figures, like when Foley was GM of Raw back in 2000 or so. Heel Authority figures have been done to death.

Enzo is representative of about 60% of Rhode Island's male population.

Double pinfall finish to the Ambrose/Rollins match. Maybe this is how we get two champions?

I found Stephanie McMahon to be absolutely insufferable to watch and Shane equally insufferable. Does Vince really have to let his children on TV?

The highlight for me was the Enzo & Cass/The Club/Cena/The New Day segment.

Not surprised we got a double pin to possibly lead to a new title, but I don't really get why they did it tonight before Battleground and before The Draft.  Steph's motivation is obvious though as she gets the first pick and would obviously rather deal with Rollins as champ than Ambrose.

I can see a legitimate worthy caveat here.

If the World Champion isn't the #1 pick, then it cheapens the title.

Steph runs Raw and thus gets the first pick. Why Raw gets the first pick automatically, I dunno. But that's a rant for a podcast.

Maybe Steph wanted Seth to win so she could draft him first and lay claim to the World Champion.

Didn't they do a similar thing in the first Draft? Steph got the Undisputed Champion (Lesnar at the time) for her show?

Raw gets the first pick because it's the flagship and a three hour show.  There's no real reason required other than this is how Vince wanted it.

What you said about Steph and Rollins is exactly what I'm saying.  That makes sense because she knows she gets the first pick and would rather have WWE Champion Seth Rollins as opposed to being forced to take Ambrose if she wants the title.
