40+ year veteran was a mainstay for Florida Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions before jumping to the WWF. Had two reigns as the NWA TV Champion. Legendary rivalry with Ric Flair lasted the better part of five years. Also had memorable feuds with Harley Race, Randy Savage, Kevin Sullivan, and Superstar Billy Graham. Member of both the WWE and NWA Hall Of Fame. Considered one of the best talkers of all time.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest heels with his arrogance and cocky attitude. Was a world Champion in World Class, and a tag champion in NWA before signing with the WWF. Defeated the Ultimate Warrior for the Intercontinental Title, and later defeated Sting for the US Title. Held the US Title for a full year, and was never defeated for it. Held the Big Gold Belt twice, but was forced to retire after a career ending back injury. Memorable feuds with Warrior, Sting, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, and Dustin Rhodes. One of only three men to appear on Raw and Nitro the same night.
