Dell Optiplex 380 - Speaker issue
« on: July 12, 2019, 11:47:47 PM »
So, for a while now, I've been unable to hear sound through my 3.5mm headphone, when they're plugged into the front headphone jack or the rear (headphones work fine on other devices). The sound can heard from the CPU's internal speakers, but the sound quality is low. I bought a USB adapter( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NMXY2MO/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1), but all I can get through my headphones are various system sounds - if I'm playing a Youtube vid, it's only going through the internal speakers like before.

I'm wondering if there's a setting for the speakers of Audio that I need to adjust to hear everything through my headphones? And ideas? OS is Windows 7 Pro.

Check your Sound control panel item and make sure you have your default devices set correctly and that nothing's disabled.
