Born Omaha, Nebraska to a single mother. Half Swedish, quarter Polish, quarter Winnebago. Lost his virginity at 14, has one brother and enjoys motorcross. Joined the U.S Marines after the accidental killing of his college football teams deaf quarterback. From that he became a Special Agent in the O.S.I (Office of Secret Intelligence) and has been assigned to protect the Venture family.

ce King has the ability to throw frozen lightning bolts, raise monsters of snow to do his evil bidding, create arctic weather, and flash freeze objects, people or animals. He can also fly, and when he does this, his beard seems to act as wings. If his crown is knocked off, then he cannot fly. He may have other powers that have not been used yet. In "What Have You Done?", it is said that the Ice King got his powers by stealing them. Ice King can also play the drums, though with debatable skill. The Ice King also possesses a wide knowledge of magic, perhaps more than anyone else in the series. He is able to create numerous magical artifacts if given time and resources, though they can sometimes go wrong anyway. He has created a binding ice ring to make the wearer fall in love with him, knows magic to control someone's heart (though he wound up animating his own), and owns a "witching eye" and "ghost pouch." His beard is apparently animated, operating much like a limb with partial shape-changing abilities, which he can wield in close combat. He's a formidable foe, and while easily duped, he has proven capable of defeating Finn and Jake in a head-on fight.
