DirecTV to lose FOX stations 11/1?

seems to focus on just the cable channels right now like FX, FOX sports channels, FOX Movie,etc but not the local FOX stations

Would you want to pay nearly 40% more of your bill every month for the exact same channels?
We wouldn’t either.
 
i wouldn't expect my entire bill to increase by 40% since Fox is only asking that they get paid 40% more for FOX channels.  Considering how many other channels I get, the increase to my bill couldn't be more than $5.

reportedly Kurt Sutter has threatened to release the last 3 episodes of SOA (although they are just rough cuts but still) ahead of schedule if their is no deal

I wish you could pick your own channels and pay for them. You can have RFD and Telemundo, DTV.

Cable channels have been arguing for that since before you were born. Great for the large audience, terrible for the small networks.

FOX pulls this crap on everyone (remember about this time last year with the brouhaha over Dish Network dropping FOX channels?) so someone finally having enough and actually dropping their channels is just deserved.
 
Still, the viewers and the people who pay for DirecTV lose. And I don't think the '40% increase' will show up on customers' bills (or shouldn't).

Maybe this will lead to FX Networks finally putting their goddamn shows online like everyone else is doing now. I missed Sunny a few weeks ago and didn't get to watch it until a few days ago, could have watched it on lunch break at work.

I can say even if I did have DirecTV, losing FOX Channels wouldn't effect me in the slightest.

I remember when this happened with the WWF about 10 years ago.  DirecTV stopped carrying the PPV's for several months which pissed off fans and a deal was made.

So glad I got rid of their shitty service this summer.
