Kind of.

Awesome fan game recreates the game from the movie.  It has gamepad support, but the keyboard controls are WASD to control the turrent, arrow keys steer the ship, and the M, ",", and "." keys switch weapons.

Anyone like to see an official, modern spin on that game?  Not a AAA title, just a little game of the movie game for Starfighter fans on Xbox Live or something.  Would anyone buy it, or want such a thing?

The voices make the game!  That's how they were in the 80's, man.

Gamepad support is imperfect, because you can't control the turrent and move the ship at the same time.  But the keyboard is a bitch to work with, even though it's possible..

Maybe I can try using Joy 2 Key to map the left analog stick to the turrent control on the keyboard and get the best of both worlds, or something..

Mouse and keyboard is the way to go.

The mouse makes aiming the reticle while flying so much easier, it almost feels like cheating.  The two joystick system on the arcade cabinet that was never released would probably be a lot harder to work with.

The games still Nintendo hard though.  The command ship keeps kicking my ass.
