Biggest Disappointment In 2013?
« on: February 17, 2013, 07:53:29 PM »
Who do you see shitting the bed this year in spite of high expectations?

After all, its easy to pick winners...

I will go with my Phillies. Braves and Nats are just too stacked. I don't know how high their expectations are anyway but they're my pick.

As a Seattle sports fan it's tough to be dissapointed but IMO if they don't hit around 85-90 wins I'll be disspointed.

The Blue Jays. They just signed a ton of guys and spent a bunch of money. Not outlandish, but much more than they're known for. But unless they hit it'll all be for nothing.

Pitching has to come through because their rotation is bad-ass on paper.

That's what I meant by them needing to hit. Their rotation should be awesome, but even if they only give up 2-3 runs a game, they still have to generate offense and that's been an issue for the last few years.

In 2014 they will be the 2013 Marlins

James Shields doesn't win 20 games, the Royals don't win 80.

85-90 wins? I think you are overestimating the impact Jason Bay will have.

I dunno.  If King Felix wins 45 games or so, I'd say that the Mariners could have a pretty solid go of winning 85-90.
