Star Wars Pinball is here

Tried the demos, and like them enough to lay down 10 bucks for the three tables.

Only wish I could get the Android version, but my device isn't supported, so I have to make due with the console version.

Maybe I'll get a Pinball Arcade table or two later, for on the go pins.  Twilight Zone or Next Generation tables..

Worth every cent.

Empire is the best table.  Fully animated Vader breaking apart the pinballs you fire at him with the force is awesome, and the table's just so well put together.

But I kind of like the Clone Wars themed one too, especially now that the TV series is ended.  Boba Fett is alright too.  Almost has a Return of the Jedi feel to it, with the Sarlac Pitt, frozen Han, and some other things.

For whatever reason, they didn't take voice clips right from the movies though, but used voice actors instead.  Except for the Clone Wars table, which takes them right from the toon.  It's not a problem though, as they're mostly decent copies, except for Luke who sounds like some pimple faced kid, but nobody really pays attention to him anyways.

I've been tempted to pick this up, since I used to play gimmick pinball games back in the day

Same here.  Spent many an hour on T2:  Judgement Day, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek:  TNG.

Seems like most pinball fans go for the old school, pre gimmick era tables,  and only care about sim aspects like physics.  I can respect that, but that's not really my thing..  I'm the kind of gamer who prefers fun over realism, like say Burnout racing vs Forza racing..

And besides, video games will never be as good as the real thing.  So why not take advantage of the media, and make virtual tables that do things that could never be done in real life?

The Star Wars Pinball tables didn't really grab me. I recall on the Boba Fett table the ball getting 'stuck' in one area....that just struck me as being really bad.

I didn't get the tables, but I have probably too many Pinball FX2 tables (got most of the Marvel tables, Plants vs. Zombies, Ms. 'Splosion Man and some others).

The Marvel tables look good.  They come in, what, four packs?  800 MS points for Blade, Iron Man, Spidey, and one I'm forgetting, and then you pay another 800 for the other four?

I like the look of that Earth Defense table though..

Ms. Splosion Man table does look good.

Do I want the platform game?  And if so, go right to it, or start with the original?

Torn between 'Splody fun and Shadow Complex, but paying 15 bucks for a 3 year old XBLA game doesn't sit right with me, even if it's hyped up as the best XBLA game ever..

I found 'Splosion Man/Ms. 'Splosion Man to be a bit iffy as platformers, but Shadow Complex is one of the best Xbox 360 games I've ever played.
