Steam Autumn Sale
« on: November 25, 2012, 02:39:49 PM »
Anybody pick anything up from it?  I've personally found the selection to be lack luster myself although I did just grab Deus Ex: Human Revolution + all 3 DLC and Doom 3: BFG Edition for $24.95

waiting for civ 5:  gods + kings to hit $5.  That will be my only video game purchase for a while cuz i just bought all 5 expansions for Battlefield 3 for $50.  And I have to save my money for the Marvel MMO  :clapping_mini:

they were selling it for $7.50 today, so I just bought it.  Probably won't play it until i get a weekend with nothing to do

Nothing I really want, and now's not really the time to be spending money on myself anyways, what with gifts to buy...

Plus, I'm on an Xbox kick lately.

I got quite a bit but not as much as the summer sale. I got Doom 3 BFG Edition for $15, Borderlands GOTY Edition for $7.50, Torchlight II for $10, Batman: AC GOTY Edition for $7.50, XCOM: Enemy Unknown for $25 (from Amazon.com's download sale), various indie games like Critter Crunch for $1.75, F.E.A.R. series for $9 from Amazon.

Most of my money is being stolen by Microsoft for their Microsoft Store sale. Almost every game on there was $10. At one point, you could get Skyrim for $10 and the entire Gears of War series for less than $20.

Dammit, I haven't had my 360 set up since I moved to my temporary living location.  I recently played through GoW for the first time and loved it.  Woulda been nice to get it all for $20.  Was that including the DLC?

No, I don't think so. It's just the main games.

For gods sake...

Deus Ex is on sale.  You can get every game and expansion for a little over 10 dollars, or just the GOTY edition or Invisible War for 2.49 each, and pick up an additional expansion for under a buck.

This sucks.  I almost feel obligated to buy one of them at those prices, but I have enough games on my docket at the moment..  :(

Yea I realized something during the Winter Sale when I spent a good $100 but obtained more games than I can count...

Steam doesn't sell games.  They sell Digital Timeshares

Sale on Telltales Walking Dead now, for 60% off.  9 dollars for 5 episodes.

I'd jump on that, if I had a decent gaming thing.  I still might get it..

I've heard very mixed reviews about that game.  Is it really worth it?  I mean...what kind of game is it?  Is it tied into the Comic or the show as I've read the first few comic volumes but haven't paid any attention to the show

Looks like it's set in the Walking Dead universe, but the characters have no relation to the comic or show.  They're an original cast, doing their own thing.
