Cubs could be leaving Wrigley

It's an old subject, but one that does interest me. I know the history that Wrigley brings, but if actually being a competitive baseball team instead of a business means moving, so be it.

They should move because then they would own all the land they would buy and could build whatever they wanted from the ground up, and have all the amenities they want.

Also, they could move to Rosemont where there are great entertainment venues in their new complex area. Or, they could tell the Boomers to go scratch and move to Schaumburg.

Will they move? Not likely. But they are more inclined to use moving as a leverage in negotiations.

I think there is a better chance of TNA's Dixie Carter winning an Emmy than there is the Cubs leaving Wrigley, but you have to use whatever leverage you can in these situations as previously stated.

30 year contract (or something ridiculous like it) signed by previous ownership.

It had something to do with the ability to get bleachers into the rooftops, if memory serves.
