They should be Top 4 if healthy, but of course they aren't and Wenger did not get any reinforcements. That means we have backups playing out of position. We dropped about 8 points already due to some horrific defense because people are playing out of place. Then again, we needed a miracle to win two games, so it balances out a bit.

I have no idea what happened with Everton and their defense, but they have been garbage lately. No way Southhampton or West Ham keep this up, just like last year, some of the top teams just have a terrible start and are letting the middle or lower teams in. Hampton lost almost every valuable player they had, how can they keep this up?

I think the January transfer window will play a much larger part than in year's past. Arsenal getting reinforcements could push them into the Top 4 and maybe even United can make a run. They did just draw Chelsea.

2 more goals for Alexis.  Ahead of West Ham on goal differential to claim a Top 4 spot.

Seems like no teams but Man City and Chelsea are serious this year, so Arsenal can be a Top 4 team if they beat the Burnleys and Sunderlands. Walcott is back, so the team should play well for the next 6 games until he gets re-injured. Things will be interesting come January if Ozil is indeed moved and Arsenal gets the re-enforcements they needed back in August. A guy like Sami Khedira would help dramatically for the 15 games he is healthy for.

I don't think Southhampton can keep this up because how the fuck can they? I would gladly cheer for them to knock off Chelsea, but that just seems like a fairytale. Tottenham is dog shit and should remain that way because they are a mess from top to bottom.

As long as Man U misses out on champions league again, I won't be too unhappy.

Well.......shit.

Up 3-0 at home in the Champions League, Arsenal concedes 3 goals in the final 30 minutes to draw some team I can't even pronounce. Their lack of depth due to injury was quite evident today as Flamini shouldn't even have a jersey, let alone playing time. If they don't go crazy during the January window, they are in serious trouble because this team will fall apart more as the season progresses.

Without a Holding Midfielder and some Center Back depth, this season is essentially pointless. They are essentially 1 man down as soon as the whistle blows due to people playing out of position due to the most obvious injuries.

This is said every year, but it may mean the most this season because the title hopes are already dashed and we should be guaranteed to be trophyless by January, but Wenger must go and if Alexiswants out of his contract, no Arsenal fan should be grudge him.

Tommy Smyth of ESPN FC reporting that Arsenal has agreed 'in principle' to pick up Petr Cech from Chelsea.

Now, Szczesny is a quality keeper, but does Wenger have such low confidence in him (and Ospina and Martinez) that we need to bring in the decaying carcass of Petr Cech? Now, if we get him for relative pennies, I can see where this would make sense - Cech has proven himself over the years, and would be a sensible backup. But wasn't he complaining about being in that role under Mourinho?

This move baffles me a bit...

Szzesny is a very good keeper, so I think this is more about our backups and their injuries. You can't have 4 keepers though, so I have no idea where this is going.

Szcesny probably has broken ribs, Wilshere is hurt again, perhaps severely and this team was put together by an imbecile.

Arsenal has always been content with their 4th place Champions League spot, but that doesn't look likely this season and that's a good thing. They need to break the status quo and a good 8th place finish would do that. Force them to realize it's time to really open up the checkbook to compete with the Top 3 teams. Chelsea and Man U both got players with under the table deals, this league clearly doesn't reward integrity, so fuck it.

Worst start since 1982. That's the year that I was last playing soccer. Ugh.

Good news is that Giroud is back early, and he did score the only goal (and seemed to have a fire in his belly), but the loss of Wilshere and possibly Szczesny is yet another blow. Someone call Stan Kroenke and tell him to tell Wenger that it's actually OK to spend some cash in January...

Honestly, the loss of Wilshere is nothing. He's played like 15 games in 2 years and can't be relied on, much like Theo Walcott. Reliance upon those guys is a big reason the team is so short and have no real reserves.

This is all on Wenger though and his refusal to fill positions of need like Holding Midfielder. This team should've won the title last year but got crushed by injuries and they still won the FA Cup. He followed this up by getting Sanchez and Chambers and then ignoring everything else and once again counting on old and injured players.

There is no help coming, so Wenger needs to spend huge in  January and finish 6th or worse.

They needed Sanchez the Hero midweek to win 1-0 in the 90th minute against a shit team and now Stoke mopped the floor with us. The supporters have said for years that Wenger has to go, but now the chants and banners are making it into the games and on TV. If he doesn't make a big move or moves in January and the team keeps playing at it's 7th placed pace, this may finally be the year because that Champions League money is gone.

Tough break drawing United at Old Trafford for the FA Cup Quarterfinals in 3 weeks.  Liverpool have a much easier draw as they host Blackburn.  We are guaranteed two jobbers in the semifinals at Wemblay with Bradford City hosting Reading and Aston Villa playing West Brom in the other quarterfinals.

7% chance of facing Man U at Old Trafford. Guess they wanted to make sure they got the ratings in case of an upset.

They can beat them if they don't have major injuries, but Arsene's recent record of big game losses is deafening. This win may be even bigger than the FA Cup itself last year because they aren't expected to win at Man U.
