And that's why they call it King's Landing
First off, has this show ever looked or sounded this damn good? The cinematography and score were haunting and chilling.
I figured Cersei would attempt wildfire, didn't think she'd nuke and wipe out everybody. I loved it because that smug High Sparrow got obliterated, but then Margery and her line got wiped out as well and she never saw it coming, despite trying to play the long game.
Also Cersei destroying the evil nun, but then the Mountain came in to rape and torture her and I questioned myself again.
Loved Dany making Tyrion her Hand of the Queen.
Loved Varys walking in on the Dornish and the Queen of Thorns to join Dany's Rebellion just for pure vengeance.
Davos gave a great tongue lashing to Melissandre. It was a scene stealer, but might get overlooked in this epic episode.
Sawmill visiting the Citadel was just gorgeous. Again, has this show ever looked this good?
Didn't see Arya coming, but enjoyed it.
And WINTER IS HERE! Ned Stark told you bitches it was coming.
We finally get confirmation about Jon's parents. Loved the fade from the baby's face to current Jon.
Lyanna Mormont steals her scene again. That speech could have jump started my car.
Never cared for King Robb, maybe because I knew Red Wedding was coming, but this second King of the North moment felt much more genuine and powerful, even though he has a greater purpose than this.
Cerise's evil queen coronation was fantastic and fitting. Again, the score was chilling and haunting.
It's funny, both Jon and Cersei got crowned, but in the back you have Little Finger and Jaime in disapproval.
It's finally all coming together. Dany has the Dothraki, the Unsullied, The Martells, and the Tyrells all headed south with the Dragons. Jon has the North. Arya is nearby. Bran is nearby. Another Stark reunion coming if they survive long enough. And the white walkers are still coming.
Fantastic finale, really difficult to follow after last week, but they did it.
