First trailer is out.

I'm mildly discouraged.

When I tease out what I know about the source material, it looks pretty paint-by-numbers to me. Like any suspense/horror movie you see land in theaters with little fanfare every year in January or February.

I've also never been a fan of the Tim Curry version, and King's horror novels don't have a stellar track record of being adapted into films.

I'll give you that they've never really done a good job with adapting his work

The Stand was a pretty good adaptation, imo.

Looking forward to this movie, but I have to be honest that Dark Tower burned me out on King, much as I loved Dark Tower and don't regret reading it.

Mainly Rolands ending (But King did warn the reader before continuing), and King's self insertion in the series.

It's not the first time he did that, although I do forget which other book it was
