Finished it this morning. Weakest of all the Netflix shows. It's a low budget Arrow, except Arrow actually developes Olliver Queen into Green Arrow. This guy kind of sucks and doesn't do anything different in the finale that he didn't in the pilot.

Finn Jones is just a forgettable actor to be playing the lead. I can't remember any of his scenes on Game of Thrones and wondered why he was cast here.

The dad is probably the most interesting person,  but this show can't decide what side any of the characters are on. It changes every two episodes.

There's also a bootleg version of the Hand in this. Don't expect those ninjas with no heart beat Daredevil and Elektra fought.

When they Honest Trailer this, it'll start with "from the showrunner of Dexter...of the season you hated"

I am 6 episodes in, and it's good enough to keep my interest but just barely. I like it better than Jessica Jones so far, but I'd put it below DD and Luke Cage in terms of overall quality. A lot of the fight scenes are slow and awkward, and look more like dancing than fighting. There is a scene where Danny picks up a pair of nunchaku to show off his "skill" to Colleen, and it is so fucking cringey. Looks like he practiced for about 10 minutes before they shot it and then moved on to the next shitty fight scene.

I hope there is a payoff of some sort later in the season, because if it keeps going at this pace I think I will end up regretting the time I spent watching like I did with Jessica Jones.

Into the Badlands really contrasts with IF fighting choreography.

But that's true of the entire MCU lineup.  I think a lot of people expected Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon, and that's just not what IF is delivering (While Badlands is.)

I liked it, but I agree Daredevil and Cage are better. if Daredevil was a 9 or 9.5, this was like a high 7 or low 8.

I also agree evil Faramir was awesome.

My son rates it near JJ which he still hasn't finished and thinks they showed the plane crash too often
and he's on episode 8

Just finished.  Don't understand the critical hate other than people just letting their bias of him not being made Asian influence their decisions.  It was entertaining.

Finn Jones was probably the weakest aspect of the show.  Someone else in here said this was like a weaker version of Arrow and I at one point while watching actually thought he was just a discount Ollie as he does the quiet whisper talking and everything.  Not sure it's his fault though.  Can't help but feel they just didn't write him properly as he has no personality.  Sure he's supposed to be some brainwashed living weapon but you could have given him something.  He's pretty brash and outgoing in the comics so, part of the reason he and Cage get along so well.  Will be interesting to see what happens with Defenders.

David Wenham was fantastic as was Tom Pelphrey and Jessica Henwick.  Rosario Dawson and Carrie Anne Moss deliver with their characters as usual.

My biggest complaints though outside the odd choice of how they wrote and portrayed Danny Rand were:

1) The minute Claire realized this was The Hand why the fuck did she not just call in DD?  You're sitting here telling this guy he is crazy for trying to take them on on his own, living weapon or not, and he's ok with you and Colleen helping so he'll take assistance obviously.  Just tell him you know a guy who has also spent his entire life being trained to fight them and recently did stop them.  They spend a lot of time referencing all the other shows but with this being the last show before Defenders it's the perfect time to have a direct main character cross-over to set up for that show.  Especially since The Hand are the main villains for The Defenders.

2) To many damn villains by the end.  It's Madame Gao and Harold Meachum, long as you aren't to stupid to realize he was going to be one, through most of it.  Then you suddenly remove Gao and throw in Bakuto as the villain.  Just two episodes later he's done and now it's back to Meachum.  In fact it ends with him and not The Hand as the main villain.  Through it all you have the siblings constantly switching sides ending with the brother ending up the good guy.  Oh and let's not forget you've introduced Steel Serpent.  Not a villain quite yet but obviously will be.

Drunk guy was actually the asian dude considered for the Iron Fist role.

Pretty popular in his role as was.
