Absolutely, it's the best option imho if you're going to allow people to modify their votes.  If you're not going to allow vote modification then it doesn't so much matter to me.

For me, it takes all the fun and suspense out of the game. The fun part was always checking these out to see who was squashing who and watching how it went back and forth in the competitive matches. Hidden poll results take all the fun out of it. Again, it's like cutting out everything between the opening and closing bells of a wrestling match.

I can see that, but if we go back that direction then I think the modify vote option needs to be done away with.  In the other thread we are discussing this and one option was to show the results once you've voted I believe which, again, I have no issue with, but I do not like people being able to modify their vote when they know how the match looks at that time.

how is it more suspenseful to know the results as the battle goes on vs not knowing who could win till the battle is over?

as for the modify vote option, it's still useful in case someone makes an argument which convinces you to change your vote.  but if you can see the votes then you can change your vote to bandwaggon jump.

This is the way I personally see it. I kind of like the idea of not knowing the results until the reveal. But ultimately I see the voting anyway so it's no difference in the end for me.

Do we really need two polls on the same subject though?

I agree with dropping the "modify vote" thing. And I also have no problem with results becoming visible only after you vote.
