If you trade in your current 3DS Game stop is giving $100, which is pretty uch 50% off, the price of a 3DS XL.

If I had the extra cash I'd probably do it except they still haven't fixed the resolution issue that the DSi XL had from what a co-worker told me

I'm planning on it although my 3DS seems to be on the fritz at the moment. I'm hoping the 3DS XL is more durable and reliable than my current 3DS. I can't even get the 3DS to power on at times.

Got it today and it definitely feels more durable and stronger. I had to do a system transfer in order to get the eShop games/demos I downloaded, but other than that, it's great. The screen size is great too and the system fits so comfortably. The only complaint I have is the stylus is too slippery at times.
 
Still rather sore that my original 3DS only lasted two years. I know I won't get a Nintendo system at/near launch ever again.
