Shandling had a great theme song on his show.

It is one of the funniest theme songs I've heard.

I also liked how his HBO show was called "The Larry Sanders Show, starring Garry Shandling"

Blackjack was a legend in his own right of course, but his family connections are pretty wild too.

I may be missing someone, but he is:

Barry and Kendall Windham's father.

Mike Rotunda's father-in-law.

Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt's grandfather.  They are Rotunda's sons.

Mika Rotunda is in the business too and she's his granddaughter.  She is Bo and Bray's sister and Rotunda's daughter.

Balls Mahoney - 44. I hate to say it but he lived longer than I thought he would.

Prince?  TAFKAP?  That is a huge shocker. I expect some sort of concert over this one.

Prince just was in Atlanta about a week or so ago.

A girl I'm friends with on Facebook was saying that a lot of people staying at the hotel she works were sick and she may have picked up the flu from one of them.

I quipped to a coworker "Prince and David Bowie are doing a helluva duet now". His reaction was "Yeah... Wait WHAT?!?" because he hadn't heard of Prince's passing and understood my humor style.

I was worried that there wouldn't be an autopsy, since I think he was an observant Jehovah's Witness, but I guess they're doing one. Hopefully, this will spare us decades of "Who killed Prince in his elevator?" conspiracy theories.

I somehow missed this. I agree, and not just because he was a chairshot guy. I have a soft spot for him though because he was the first guy I saw do a ton of those things that he did. We can all act offended about flaming tables and chairshots now but to a bloodthirsty teenager that stuff was just epic.

Janet Waldo was 96 and Willis Pyle (Disney animator who also died last week) was 101. Every one of those cartoon guys and gals besides Tex Avery and Bob Clampett lived past 90.
