The Former Shield Members
« on: June 02, 2016, 10:45:42 AM »
Random thought, but right now I can totally buy Reigns and Rollins as long term WWE Champions.  Ambrose? To me, he's more suited for a quickie run at some point.

I know everyone in WWE is forced into a template as it relates to their matches to a large degree, but I a have grown tired of just about all his signature spots.

Ambrose can beat Reigns next Monday for the belt and be the biggest babyface in the company. I prefer the overall work of Roman and Seth, but Ambrose is still good for the most part and has the fan's support. They just keep setting him up to take the fall. Against Roman, HHH and then Brock. He is the guy who is almost bulletproof to still be over after losing, that's just his character.

He became way too spot heavy the past year though.

His unique charisma and crowd support is the only thing keeping him remotely viable and that's a credit to him.  I also think he gets a huge pass because I see praise for some of his segments that were absolute dog crap IMHO such as the build to Mania v Lesnar.

Also two years ago today was Seth's turn.  It also so happens that I married my first wife on June 2nd so not a banner day in general.

Not a fan of Ambrose, can't stand his offense.  Gimmick is wack, too.

If Ambrose not grabbing women aggressively or cutting his head with a turkey carver, there's nothing interesting about him.

Ambrose would probably be the best character on the roster if he wanted to go serious. His acting and promos have always been amazing, he just fell into the whacky best friend role since Roman got pushed. He's popular, so I'm sure he won't change anytime soon.
