One of the all-time legends in Japan. Dubbed one of the "Three Musketeers" in Japan, due to his dominance with Masahiro Chono and Shinya Hashimoto. Also one of the few Japanese superstars to also have made a name in the States. One of only two men two have held the All Japan, New Japan, and NWA World Titles.

One of the most hated heels of the early 80s after turning on mentor Bruno Sammartino. WCW tag titles with Arn Anderson as The Enforcers. Held WWWF tag titles with Tony Garea. Was World Champion for the AWA in the last years of the promotion.
