Qualifying Credentials:8x NWA Champion, NWA US Champion (1975), WWE Hall Of Fame (2004)

The inaugural US Champion by WWE lineage. Won his first NWA Title in 1973 by defeating Dory Funk Jr. Third on the all-time list of longest reigning NWA champion at 1,862 days. Won the second ever King Of The Ring Tournament in 1986.

40+ year veteran was a mainstay for Florida Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions before jumping to the WWF. Had two reigns as the NWA TV Champion. Legendary rivalry with Ric Flair lasted the better part of five years. Also had memorable feuds with Harley Race, Randy Savage, Kevin Sullivan, and Superstar Billy Graham. Member of both the WWE and NWA Hall Of Fame. Considered one of the best talkers of all time
