Ashame about the 2 year wait. I was hoping for a may 2018 release. I would love to see a football league with rg3, tebow, manziel, and by 2020 I guess that is whre blaine gabbert and drew stanton will go. I guess that is where deshone kizer will be in a few years.

Just one man's opinion. I think Vince would be better off promoting classic rock concert tours than football. People who grew up on Bon Jovi probably remember 80s WWE.

I doubt he is a partner like NBC this time around.

They're set to announce their first head coach. It'll be for the Dallas team and word is former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is set to be the man. Not a bad get for them

Disney and Fox (same company) now have the rights to air XFL.  Between their broadcast channels , ESPNs and Fox Sports channels, they are going to have a lot of coverage.

I think if this is treated as a sport it will be okay.  Since he's agreed to keep the Prowrestling elements out, especially in regards to the broadcasting, this should help.

With the talent pool that is out there and the financial backing, this has the potential to grow into something big.  I might watch a game or two but I am still curious if Vince can pull this off.

The other thing is the networks are chipping in to help with production costs as well, so they really are going into this better than the AAF so it should at least last a season

Week 1

Honestly, not that bad. Definitely off to a better start than last year's AAF disaster and miles better than the original XFL opening weekend.

I agree. Some weirdos are railing about the lower quality of play, but it's like, "I hope you don't watch college football."

The current hot take is to predict that the NFL is only a couple years away from adopting the XFL kickoff rules.

Also, it's weird seeing Jerry Glanville back on a sideline in pro football.

Week 1 Day 2

Another solid set of game. So far so good. Except Aaron Murray. He's bad.

Did Jerry have a big ass belt buckle like he did when he coaches the Falcons?

I like the majority of the rule changes. The big one for me is the play in the last two minutes. I hate that in the NFL that a team in the lead can have the ball and score a first down with less than 2 minutes on the clock and essentially walk off the field. The final minutes of game play should be the most exciting. See the NHL or NBA.

Not sure. It was cold in Jersey yesterday, so he had on a windbreaker.
Wondering if we're going to see someone attempt a double forward pass.

Looks like XFL: The Sequel has run its course. Vince is suspending operations, laying off staff - has no plans to return in 2021.
