Josh is Not All In
« on: May 13, 2018, 05:16:02 PM »
Had tickets for @ALL_IN_2018 ... clicked on the Checkout button... thrown into the VWR. Page error. Several of them. Got back "in" and everything's sold out. #Welp #NotAllIn

Surprised tickets sold out so fast. I thought about purchasing and figured they would be available for weeks.

Same thing here. I thought they'd sell 3,000 or so out of the gate, and I'd just pick up cheap seats later.
Though for what it's worth, Stubhub has a ton of tickets. So it's possible it was the scalpers that went to town.

I don't think they put a limit on them, so don't be surprised if scalpers got a nice chunk. Even so, it's very impressive. Hopefully Cody wins the NWA title at the show so the belt can add some prestige to it's revival.

Now that the show has sold out, I imagine they will setup some type of streaming deal as well so that everyone can watch it.

This has so much potential to be a huge cash cow already.  If Billy really wants the NWA to have prestige again, I agree Cody is the answer.  He's redhot already.

Could they do more of these shows successfully say quarterly?

I think they can definitely do more, but I don't know about 10,000 every time. Also, some of these guys may have gotten special permission for this one event. I doubt Okada can wrestle wherever he feels like.

I would be surprised if the show isn't filmed in some capacity, whether it's an iPPV or DVD.

Josh, how much were the tickets you were trying to buy, if you don't mind me asking.

I'm not sure what the average ticket price was but I expect it to be around $100.

$28 - cheapest / upper level
Which are now available on StubHub ... for $199/ea.

Not that this will change anything, but I did e-mail their Customer Service.

Attn: Customer Service
Re: Recent Ticket Buying Experience

I wanted to write to you, to pass along my recent experience while trying to purchase tickets to the All In show on September 1, 2018 at the Sears Centre.

The tickets, as you know, went on sale yesterday at 3:00pm.
I was on the website at 2:50pm, and I refreshed the page at 2:58pm to start the process, and see if there was a link to purchase.

Right away, there was a slow down of the website and I know you're aware of the crush of user traffic due to popular demand.

However, what I am upset about is that after several minutes (close to ten), I was able to finally select my choice of price range. Then I was actually assigned a section, row, and seats. All I had to do was click the CHECKOUT button, and pay for them.

After I clicked the Checkout button, I was at a page that just hung there, and was eventually thrown into the Virtual Waiting Room "due to high demand". HOWEVER, I was already offered tickets, all I had to do was pay for them!

By the time I got through the page timing out, and getting back to a page that actually loaded, everything was sold out.

I could understand if I was never able to get past the VWR, but I actually had seats assigned to me!

Thank you for reading.

Well I'll be damned. The Director of Ticketing contacted me, and said they had some tickets due to duplicate orders or credit cards not paying for the order, once they hit the bank.

Bullet Club is the #2 promotion in America. ROH is 3rd.

Barring something dramatic, this card will have the New Japan, TNA and NWA champion. Maybe even the ROH champion too. I only expect the NWA title to change hands and it absolutely should. Not just the connection to Cody and his Father, but he is such a big star now it can bring a much bigger audience to NWA. A true traveling champion as well.

The uptake of ticket sales does seem really odd. You have to wonder just how many the touts got hold of. Was there any restriction on bulk quantity buying?

Could NJPW titles be defended on this show?

Seems likely they will. Bucks have two of their tag titles and Kenny is their champion. NJPW will have to approve this obviously but I think they are working out a deal where NJ World will stream the show. Wouldn't be surprised if ROH does it as well.

I wonder after last night if there's any chance of CM Punk being there now.  His UFC career has been solidified as a joke after 2 matches after what, 3 years?

I'm not sure if I'd want him if I were Cody and the gang but he is a Chicago boy.

On the NJPW Dominion show they did a quick angle where Don Callis was announced as a commentator for All In. So it will be recorded in some capacity.

The card seems to be set with Omega vs. Pentagon Jr.  announced.

$39.99 PPV - I don't think I will see this one.

It will be interesting to see what the buyrate is. At that price tag I doubt they'll set any records. But I was already wrong about them not selling out.

I just saw the ROH app will have it, so there is a 9 and 99 option.

What are the odds that their stream doesn't fuck up?

$40 for one show is a tough sell considering New Japan provides you 19 shows for the G1 that cost about $18 total.  Impact had a similar problem last month with Slammiversary even though it was a well built show that delivered huge.
