Summerslam
« on: August 19, 2018, 02:23:06 PM »
I care about only a few things here, hope the crowd makes mediocre things better. I say The Miz beats Daniel Bryan and they run an angle afterwards about how Bryan lost a step and this leads to Bryan beating Miz at Mania for the title. Both men deserve it, especially Miz who excels at whatever they ask from him.

I'm hoping the Raw Women's title match isn't a squash.

I hope Alexa wins thanks to surprise interference from Ronda's rumored Evolution opponent.

I hope Joe and AJ get a chance for a great match.  Their old matches hold up well 10 to 12 years later.

Alexa is already announced to face Trish Stratus at Evolution, so I doubt that will be for the women's title.

I have a weird feeling owens leaves summerslam with the universal title. I would not mind it one bit even though all booking beforehand seems counter to that logic. Then again who would have thought bliss would have left money in the bank with the womens title. I think owens wins the title by cashing in on reigns after reigns beats lesnar. Although if they wnated to make a real statement they would have owens cash in on lesnar (or even stroman.)  I wish bayley vs sasha would be having a match tonight but I guess they are saving that for mania 35 or evolution.

Haven't watched anything in a long time due to having been working Sunday until end of June so finally tuning in for something with The Woman.  So no real guesses on who's going to win but looking forward to a couple of these matches.

I don't think they add the briefcase stipulation unless they wanted to get it off Braun. He doesn't need it and it would seem cheap for him to cash it in on an injured opponent. If they want him to feud with Roman, that certainly wouldn't solidify Braun as a heel like they think it would.

The most logical thing all along would be for summerslam main event braun vs roman (for braun winning greatest rr) and the money in the bank should have been won by roman (so what if fans boo the result) and have roman cash in on braun and turn roman heel once and for all. But god forbid wwe have done anything logical like that.

So first two matches down.  Seemed lackluster to me

The Kickoff show matches are always garbage, but it did remind me of hiw smooth The Revival is and how injuries ruined their careers. Vince will never trust them.

The revival need to be moved to smackdown in the next superstar shakeup in the worst way possible. They will forever be lost in the shuffle on raw.

Supposedly a massive meeting between Brock and management before Summerslam regarding his contract. Depending on how it goes, he could be walking out of here with the title again.

Get a feeling the fans will shit all over this match like they did at WM but will also pop if Brock pins him cleanly again.

What happened to The Revival that they lost in such a ridiculous way to a joke team?!  Last time I saw them they were wrecking teams on NXT

The Revival are so good.  Imagine them vs Moustache Mountain, Burch & Lorcan and Undisputed Era.

Makes me wish Chad Gable got more opportunity to shine.  Put him on 205 Live.

With the Indies being more popular than ever, what reason do they have to stay? Don't tell me they're making $500,000 each or anything like that. They can tear it up in ROH or TNA.
Pretty obvious Dean is turning on Seth and why isn't McIntyre the Universal Champ already? Checks off every box that Vince loves plus he can work.

Very good opener, looks like Dean was trolling everyone by standing behind Rollins so much after the match like he was about to turn.

The storyline for Nikki vs. Rhonda would make a lot of sense but no one wants to see it. It will probably be Rhonda and Natalya vs. The Bella Twins.

What an awful finish to that tag match which was coming on strong towards the end.

Finish sets up Hell in a Cell next month.

That was the most bumps on the floor I have seen in a non gimmick WWE match.

Braun vs Owens being on so early must mean Owens is winning somehow.

It's weird when a non-title exchange at SS can lead to a future PPV.  I'm surprised they went there.

Is Owens on the way out?  Braun needs to come out tonight.
