Any reason Owens was not in the battle royal?

It was beneath his dignity. In all seriousness if he was in the battle royal and he was not winning no point for him to be in there imo. Also he has unersolved issues with braun so best to keep them apart for now.

This show was about the feels.   Do you think catering to the fans worked last night?

If you are asking me wrestlemania should be about mostly making the fans happy and making moments. Wrestlemania 35 is one of the more happier wrestlemanias in a long time with pretty much everyone the fans were rooting for won(eve the iconics winning the tag tiles were the fans choice imo judging by the reaction). There will be plenty of raws and other shows for heels to get a win.  Elias and Cena better be a wrestlemania 36 match with Elias winning.

To be fair, WWE tried to create some feel-good moments at the expense of logical booking.

Hawkins and Ryder over The Revival? No way, sir.

Elias is the Brooklyn Brawler of the new generation. When he's not getting punked out or otherwise made to look like an idiot during his promos and awful guitar playing, he's getting beat (most of the time) in the ring. Dude's jacked and has a look and he's comedy fodder. What a waste. He's one they could leave off TV and it wouldn't make a difference.

I do not remember the brooklyn brawler getting 70000 people to chant along with him for anything ever. Elias interrupted Cena last year so Cena was giving him payback. Logic would say this should lead to cena vs elias at mania 36.

Elias does get a pop, but they clearly have nothing to do with him beyond the annual Cena run-in.

WM historically has been a feel good show, but they definitely doubled down on it this year.  I honestly did not expect Kofi to win, and to do so pretty cleanly is amazing.  We'll see how long he holds it, but that shouldn't cheapen his moment at all.

Agree that the pinfall in the main event muted what should have been an explosion.  Lynch had to win, of course, but they didn't get the reaction they should have gotten out of the moment.

People are still chanting "What?" and "CM Punk". They'll chant anything you set them up for. Doesn't mean it's any good.

As the show progressed, the amount of effort that went into selling Kofi all night (the hype video, the "11 years" stuff, everyone talking him up) made me think he was going to lose. Glad they told the story and finished it.

I thought it was weird they rushed to get off the air even though they'd already been on for seven and a half hours. Kofi got a ton of time to celebrate. Thought there should have been a lot more time and a much bigger deal made out of Becky winning both belts, especially as the first ever women's main event.

If we are being honest all the tag team matches this year the us title the ic title were all pre show worthy only (I could even argue roman vs drew was only preshow worthy).

Also moving the pre show to 3pm eastern and starting wrestlemanai at 5pm would be ideal for us eastern time zone people.

Is 16 matches a WM record?

Is Braun the only active talent who is 2-0 or better at WM?

Agreed, it's the last show of the "season". Faces don't need to go 16-0 but they should go over for the big matches......and in retirement matches. Seriously, da fuck with Angle?

Angle is old school.  You don't win your retirement match.  He went out putting someone over, which I'm sure is the way he wanted it.

From Ryan Satin:

Heard from a few sources now saying Sasha Banks and Bayley were laying on the floor of the locker room on Sunday, and back at the hotel in front of one of their rooms, loudly making it known they were unhappy about losing the tag titles.

It is so easy to tell if Sasha is winning based on the body language during her entrance.  Hint: She isn’t winning tonight.

The sites are saying Sasha asked to get out of her contract that night.  That might explain thr face.  If she can hold on another year she might be happy.

It is not as if sasha and bayley were going to get a 3 year tag title reign. beter to lose the tag titles at a mania imo then a random b show ppv. Iconics have jobbed like the entire last year. If Sasha and beyley want to complain cry me a river and say hello tot he riott squad. The last time i remember the riott squad winning a match of importance is NEVER.

Reports are saying Sasha wants out. Badly. She expected a longer title reign and HATES being #2. Relations are so bad WWE has sent her home for a couple weeks after she (apparently) tried to quit to think about things, and we do know she unfollowed WWE on Twitter.

When I first heard this, I thought it was just a bad internet rumor. If this is really her reaction, then I have to wonder what she's thinking. This company changes their minds all the time. It's noting new. Even looking at title reigns as a whole, it's not uncommon for an inaugural title reign to be short.
I did hear that one of the ideas was to have Mania end with all the Four Horsewomen in the ring together a la Benoit and Eddie at Mania 20.

Sasha is drowning in a sea of personalities.  When she first arrived from NXT, things were heading in a different direction and she fit very well into this mold.  However, years later things have changed but she really hasn't.  Raw changed what a champ could be in the last year.  SD crapped on what a champ could be.  Even the fans are into Becky right now. What she should have done was recreated herself instead of blaming WWE.  She was an awesome heel in NXT.  She should go back to that.  She had the perfect storyline to turn on her BFF last year and they blew it.  She shouldn't quit.  If she's thinking ROH or AEW right now, she's a fool.  Fans are still getting used to supporting women.  What she thinks she deserves isn't there yet.

This story keeps getting better. Reportedly she was mote upset about Bagley moving to SD.  This is crazy.
