Started the show late.  Just starting the Cody vs MJF fight.  Been solid so far, though, despite being a fan of The Elite I felt that Tag Title Match went FAR to long with to many big move near falls.  I did skip the Women's Title Match though to try and catch up some as I don't care about either of those women.  The women's wrestling scene is definitely one area that WWE still has the advantage in

MJF comes out with an almost Trump level of a horrendous spray tan.  He is definitely more orange than bronze   :laugh_mini:

Chicago is notoriously a heel-friendly city. Yet they still booed MJF out of the building. That says something for the type of heel MJF is. Chicago likes "cool heels" and there is nothing cool about MJF.

Do we really need to see a Canadian Destroyer 3 matches in a row? That move has been waaaaaaaay overused recently. It's absolutely ruined as a finishing move, which is terrible.

The Spanish Fly is getting close to that for me too.

Man, they Orange Cassidy vs. Pac match was way better than I ever dreamed it would be.  Good job on Pac for working Cassidy's comedy but still making it look like a solid wrestling match.

I wondered how much of Cassidy's shtick they would kill.

This was great booking for these two wrestlers.

Was easily my third or fourth favorite match of the night.  Was cool seeing Cassidy actually wrestle a little and seeing PAC get a little comedic as well.  They mixed together so well

Yep. We're seeing it not even as a finisher. It's not even a setup move. Guys will take it and be on the offense a few minutes later. I've even seen them through tables and only get a two-count.

Right? Given that the standard pile driver is a "banned move" because it's so dangerous, this is a version were you *add momentum* by flipping, or heaven forbid pile drive someone off the top rope, then they're up moments later.  :dash_mini:   :fr:

The supposed reason they are increased in usage in WWE, is that Vince saw one at a Takeover, and thought it "looked cool" and "why aren't we doing more of these?"

My match of the night was probably the Darby Allin vs Sammy Guevarro match.  Match actually made my Woman a fan of Darby's

Another destroyer on AEW Dynamite last night. I pretty much have Excalibur yelling "DEEE-STROY-ERRRRRRRRRRRR" burned in my brain.

I think they are more prevalent in AEW than WWE right now.

Yeah. When you have guest star Ricky Morton doing one, you know it maybe going too far.
