Playing through Fallout 3 GOTY edition that I got for $7 on amazon.  Freezing issues abound

Fallout is an amazing game though.  Save early, save often and have multiple save slots.  I never did get the DLC or GOTY editions of 3 or NV.

Great game I played only because A1 raved about it.

Finished up Telltales Walking Dead.  Would recommend season 1, but found season 2 to be a disappointment.

Also got the Zen Pinball table for my tablet.  Well worth getting, if you're into video pinball.

I've dusted off WWE 2K14 a little bit, but have mainly played the demos of FIFA 14 or FIFA World Cup 2014.

The logic behind no cross play multi between systems is basically to encourage someone into buying into the system all their friends are playing on, right?

But on the flip side, it's also encouraging people into ditching your system for the one their friends are playing on.  Having three versions of Street Fighter that can't play together is kind of stupid, imo.

Anyways, started playing more Street ever since the Ultra upgrade.  One of the new guys kind of reminds me of Andre the Giant..

That's not the only reason but is one.  There is issues with programming differences between the consoles and PC on how the servers and games run.  Also for some games it would be completely unfair in the cross platform scene as there are control advantages on one platform over another

Supposedly, Microsoft set up a test run of the best fps console gamers against mediocre PC gamers, and the console players were destroyed.

Fighting games are one of the few genre's that wouldn't benefit from a keyboard and mouse, though.  Arcade sticks are the only real peripheral advantage, and even those aren't a make it or break it difference maker..

And you can get fight sticks for either.

Also, performance on the PC will run laps around the console and makes a HUGE difference in FPS games

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

I'm loving it.  Have about 50 hours play time racked up but don't think I'm that far in still.  Maybe 1/4 in to a 1/3.  Not sure as this game is huge.  More I play the more upset I get that they went out of business from having spent so much on making this game they needed to sell more copies than existed to make there money back.

Back to NCAA Football 14.  Sucks that it's the last one for the forseeable future.

Buddy started playing Tera:Rising recently.  I love MMO's but outside XIV and EVE I've been tired of them lately.  Was a hardcore WoW raider all the way from Vanilla through WotLK but I had to quit as the game had changed so much and not for the better IMO.  Don't have the money to pay for a subscription at the moment and Tera is free.  Looked up it's free model and you don't actually seem to lose out on anything for playing for free.   It's pretty cool.  It's actually active combat so if you want to dodge an attack you just move as opposed to relying on an arbitrary stat

Been playing a game I got from the Android app store I was interested in buying from the Amazon market, and since finding out it's free for Android and I device users, figured I'd give it a try on my 4 inch phone instead of on my Kindle (Which is also an older version of the app)..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn8_QwGVhcA

Basically, it's Privateer.  Same exact concept.

It's fun, even despite the touch controls being a bit hard to manage on a 4 inch.  No idea why this went free to play, but as far as I can see it's not bogged down by the IAP model..  You can pretty much make do with grinding it out for in game cash, and it never feels like a chore to do it.  (I mean, grinding it out is the entire appeal of Privateer..  Pay real dollars to get the best stuff, and there's no point in playing anymore.)

Madden 11 which I got for $1.05 and that included the case.  I got to the Super Bowl with the Falcons, but I quit that game itself because it glitched on me and gave the Patriots a 3rd and 68 from my 21 yard line after my fumble went out of bounds.

BUddy of mine won 10k on a scratch off.  Bought me a new PSU and 2 month subscription two SWTOR for helping him build his new comp with the winnings.  Sooo, playing SWTOR again.  They've made A LOT of changes since I last played

Did they fix the coop?

My party quit when we couldn't enter each other's instances.  Also, even when everything worked, there were plenty of times you couldn't see cut scenes or conversations, and ended up sitting around twiddling your thumbs, waiting on a team mate.

Not sure what you mean as I've never had that issue.  Did they enable the ability to allow people even of the same class into their instance?

I think you could, but only one character's story at a time gets instanced.

Basically, in our case, if I was a jedi knight, I could invite other people into my party, which would allow them into instances specific to my characters storyline.  Usually, they'd get to spectate conversations, so they could follow my story, but there's times when they're not able to see what I'm seeing, and so can't follow the entire story.

The game breaking part came when, even in my party, they simply weren't going into my instance at all, and vice versa.

A neat little thing I found out you could do on a tablet or phone:

It's fun.  Reloadings a pain and it's nowhere near as accurate as using a light gun, but still a neat novelty.
