I was gonna say it would bother me, too.  I'd be the guy pressing stop/cancel to clear it.  :)

Anyways, a few things:

1.  Off the rack clothes never fit right.  Probably because they're designed for body types of fashion models, and not most everyone else.

2.  The Hobbit movies.  Got done watching them on DVR.

You know that Simpsons episode where Homer tries film directing, and makes an over the top parody of action flicks?  That's these movies.. It takes the most mundane scenes from the source material, and just makes it ridiculous with the epic set pieces.

Speaking of annoying people by area:

Around here, one of the biggest are the wanna be New Yorker socialitesm  The people earning a middle class living, but spending way outside their means to buy the right stuff for parties, or get the right status symbols.

A woman my sister works with just lost her home trying to maintain that lifestyle.  Remortgaged her home three times, maxed out her credit, and now she's lost it all.

It's sad, but it's also fairly common in CT (Other places too, I realize.)

And another thing about CT:  Our roads are awful.

We're at the junction between major metro centers like New York and Boston, Mass.  Pretty much EVERYBODY passes through CT at some point.

So why do we have so many pathetic two lane highways?  And our streets are even worse..  Just a half mile down the road, there's something like ten/fifteen stoplights in your way.  That's the answer to everything, put up more lights.

In down town New Haven, there's one way streets all over.  Whoops, took a wrong turn, well guess I'm lost now.  (GPS?  Hah, it will send you into a dead end claiming it's a turn.)

Yeah, it's no surprise though.. This is the same state that has a governor barking about revoking the non profit status of Yale, yet the guys on the board of Yale corp.  This is the same state that has legislators willing to make a deal for a pipeline that doesn't benefit CT in the least.  It's the same state that drove off businesses through excessive taxation, taxes spirits so high everyone goes across state to buy, overspent millions over budget on fuel cells it can't even use, stole a man's farmland and ignored him for years as he drove a van through town with signs and a loudspeaker calling the local government out... (Wayne Cook)

And then there's Bridgeport.

Point is, the roads are bad because the government folks let them stay had, and they do that because they just don't care.  They're probably as corrupt on average as Chicago officials, if not worse.

Just realized that wind chimes are horrible. The perfect way to completely ruin a quiet day with a comfortable breeze blowing (clingclangclong).

Thirded.

Also, people out shopping are horrendous.  I saw a woman physically shove aside a little old lady to ask a question.

Everybody seeme to bring the kids, too, and let then run off wherever.

60's music stations.

My father listens to them all the time  and they're riddled with depressing end of life messages about funeral costs or ash's arrangements, or where to find your next job if you're laid off at 60.

Realizing you're a lightweight.

Eight beers now gets me as drunk as it did then..  So much for building up a tolerance.

People who simultaneously love animals, and also love the film The Adventures of Milo & Otis (1986) - which prominently features the serial abuse of a cat and dog for the sake of entertainment (it was filmed in Japan, which is how they got away with it).

Did they really throw a kitten 300 feet into the water?  O_o

From looking it up, a not much is verifiable about what actually happened during the making of that movie.  Ommiting the "No animald were harmed" message is a bit of a flag, though..

Got a haircut, and the young woman sitting at the register was pretty much topless.  Neck line propped waaay up, almost to her mouth level, so you couldn't look at her face without looking at her boobs.

Not sure if it's rude to stare or not to stare in that case.

People who don't control/try to control their pets.

I'm a dog lover, but when my cuddly lab gets in an exercising woman's way, I do something about it.

When a dog I'm obviously trying to ignore because I have a cigar and don't want her to accidentially catch some ashes doesn't take the hint and walks in front of my, then starts barking in my face, the owners don't do much of anything at all.

Sure, it wasn't hurting anything, but it's the principle.  It's called consideration of others.

Mods that allow direct links to pirate sites in public areas.

I'm not playing hypocrite, I just don't think a mod/admin is doing their job if they allow posters to put their sites at risk with links that read "thepiratebay" or "stealmusicnow" on them.  Asking to get shut down.

"I see you got your hair cut" for a basic trim.

Call me paranoid, but that smacks of a backhanded compliment.  May as well say "I see you wore pants today", or "Wow, you tied your laces.  And double knotted!  Good for you."

You're paranoid.  Telling someone that you notice their haircut is just a polite way of acknowledging your existence.  It's like they're saying "hi, you're a person and I care enough about you to engage in small talk."

I don't think anyone is out to get you when they notice your appearance  :)

I hate those type of remarks for purely anti-social reasons. Useless small talk that invites more useless small talk gives me stomach cramps.

People constantly flagging you down while you're driving to tell you one your tires is flat. As if you can drive on a flat tire for more than 25 feet without noticing that yourself.

I betcha they all think they're the first person to point it out, too.

Why are brick and mortar stores still around?

You don't expect the same selection as you get online, but every store I walk into these days has nothing!  Maybe half a dozen choices, if even that.  They  advertise things on store websites that aren't even in stock, nor listed as in store pickup only.

I've even walked into a few electronic sections of stores looking for laptops as gifts, and they had nothing at all, literally.  Not a one single thing.

I don't know how they stay in business, but I sure am motivated to stick with online ordering exclusively.
