Which results in him winning the title clean from Hardy.  Which is the "most shocking moment you'll see on a wrestling show this year" according to the marketing genius of Dixie Carter.  Sigh.

i have yet to see this teaser vignette and seeing as 3-3 is next week, it prob would've been better if they had done this maybe a week ago to stir up some discussion.

The thing is that they clearly think they are doing something cool and edgy by copying the Taker promos.  You can almost guarantee they'll make a comment about delivering with their version when WWE did not or some such.

can't really judge a show by reading the spoilers alone, but i guess you can stop worrying about the potential tBP breakup.

Which would be asinine since hte WWE never intimated that those promos would deliver Sting. In fact, I'd say for a WWE crowd (and it pains me to say this because I hate the big-nosed fucker), Triple H chasing Taker out from the back was a way, way, WAY better payoff than Sting.

I'd read them before the show.  But the break up is eventually gonna happen with the Winter angle.  But I honestly think the better story would be not to turn one of TBP, but for TBP to turn Winter face.  Let them decide to help her be more normal and allow her to morph into someone similar to them.  This would allow them to move Katie into her more natural Queen of England role and become a new face opponent for Madison.

I agree, but there are a lot of people who were disappointed when it became obvious it was UT.  Moreover, this is TNA, they think taking shots at WWE, even asinine ones, makes them kewl.

I'd like to see it, but TNA generally doesn't do logical reversals like that and they'd be reluctant to give up the break up angle since they like them so much.  But it would be nice, just for something different.

wasn't the only actual time Angelina and Velvet were split up was when Angelina's visa ended and they were forced to do something to keep tBP alive?  granted when Angelina came back they feuded but they eventually put them back together and turned Madison heel which was the best thing they could do with any of them.

Your situation is not out of the realm of possibility especially with Winter opening up to Velvet this week and Velvet going on to win next week.

It took a while to get them back together and then even when they were a unit, they constantly ran angles where they were at odds chasing the title.  I think a unified TBP is just what the division needs as opponents for the suddenly strong heel teams of Sarita/Mini Sarita (I don;t know her name) and Madison/Tara.

I think the Winter being nice thing is temporary unfortunately.  But I've been wrong before and hope I am here.

In TNA everybody has two go through 2 turns between heel and face, including feuding with friends and suddenly making up again.

As far as the vignettes go, I think it's actually pretty funny (in a good way) given how many of us were speculating on the possibility of Sting. Make no mistake, those vignettes made it look like there were two people. 'Taker was inside, and somebody else was lurking outside, also wearing a trenchcoat. While it's true they made no inkling that it was Sting (in fact I concluded I thought it was Michaels), it's no more of an on camera tease than Scott Steiner showing up last month was somehow implying that Nash and Booker were in for a MEM reunion.

But that clip as "the most shocking surprise", no way. They should have just left it as a veiled jab at WWE without actually saying anything about it.

They should have not taken a jab at WWE at all, instead focusing on their own show. Every single time they do something like that, they remind everyone that they are low rent. This isn't the Monday night wars anymore, they aren't WCW (well, okay, they ARE WCW, but not the version that was winning the war). They really need to stop referencing WWE, directly or indirectly, and just focus on putting the best product out they can.

Say what you want about the booking, but it was clearly over with the live crowd. Not saying it's a good long term thing, but the pop is genuine.

Was the Tron airing a backstage segment during Sting's intro?
