Yo, yo, yo, Cole Hamels ain't bad for a guy who'd struggle to crack the top three for the Richmond Braves, right Dan?

Of course, it would have been nice if the bullpen didn't just serve a five-spot and ruin the shut-out going.

They're in Gwinnett now.

All the more reason why Cole Hamels wouldn't even think about making the Braves roster, amirite?

im curious as to how the statistical fact over the last 2 years that cole hamels would be the 4th best starter in the braves rotation has turned into a lame running joke

Because he's been awesome this year after rebounding from a terrible start. How can you not understand this unless you're really a stroke victim with terrible, terrible brain damage?

yea but u and spoiler are acting like its absurd to slot him 4th in the braves rotation or that i think hes a bad pitcher. this isnt fucking troy glaus vs ryan howard here. hamels has been great for the past 2 months, but the braves top 3 has been better for the past 2-3 years. gimme a break.

The more this thread continues on its current path, the more I'm happy the Phillies are in first. Now I just need someone in the NL West to overtake the Wild Card, and I'll be satisfied.

So by your logic, only the fans of playoff contending teams should follow baseball? WTF sense does that make? I am a fan of baseball the sport, so I follow it all year - all 12 months. And because of you tdub, I loathe the Braves more than I usually would.

I know how bad my favorite team is and how bad they are run as a franchise. It certainly doesn't revoke my Internet  message board privileges.

I have already proven that The Cubs are a better team than the Braves on the old board. So tdubs trollings are pointless.

I have a twenty dollar bet with a buddy of mine that the NL will break down as follows

West-Giants
East-Phils
Central-Cardinals
Wild Card-Rockies

Yep I'm betting a twenty that the Reds, Braves, and Pads will tank it these last few weeks.

Yeah because you've never followed the Braves or talked about them in the history of A1 after they've been out of it.

Please that's as phony as that pic of "you" you posted.

no i'm specifically referring to cubs fans only, who are arguably the worst and dumbest baseball fans on the planet. you people are beneath pirates fans because at least pirates fans are smart enough to know a loser when they see one. so excuse me when i dismiss anything you ever say about anything, ever.

what good? there has been no good. southpaw certainly has never seen good. they havent won a pennant in 65 years. he made the choice to support an eternal loser...a team with zero success in it's past, present or future---and they play in pretty much the biggest dump in sports. cubs fans should generally keep their mouths shut, and be thankful their POS franchise even exists.

wasnt it last week when the mighty phils got swept in 4 games at home against the astros? these things happen to everybody.

Um...The Astros have the 2nd best record in the league since July 21 at 28-17 (although they are still 5 wins behind the Phillies during that time frame, of course).

The Pirates, on the other hand, only have 10 wins during that time against teams other than the Atlanta Braves.

As I said the mostly bad. However you asked what good. Try, in spite of getting sweeped, making the post season two years in a row under Lou. Can't remember the last time they did that.

But my overall point TDub is don't you have any respect for fans that stick with their team and not bandwagon jump to the flavor of the day?

Someone's bitter that there were more Cubs fans than Braves fans at Turner Field for the 2003 NLDS.
