First off, have said REMOVE the baby bumpers not leave them. But conprehension still remains an enigma to you.

yeah, that's what i said.  you aren't comprehending what i'm saying which is not surprising considering you misspelled comprehension.

also, if i'm not mistaken all of those death rates are far higher (especially combined) than 27 over 20 years.  so taking a gun into the woods is far less paranoid than removing baby bumpers (which is what you want to do).

Brutal.

I am gonna go out on a limb and guess dogs and hornets cause more death due to more exposure between them and humans. Don't want to overload Web's mind.

according to the net, about 4 million babies born a year.  that's 80MM over 20 years.  so unless i'm missing something, 27 deaths over that period of time would amount to a .0000003 death rate.

so if bringing a gun to the woods is paranoia, then removing baby bumpers is SUPER paranoia.

Jackass! I was looking for a serious answer, but that did make me LOL! Literally  :laugh_mini:

The fact that you laughed made me laugh. But I do not have an honest answer. Maybe some centipedes are venonous.

So what you are saying is YOUR child is FAR more likely to die on their baby bumpers then by a wild animal attack.

But I am not removing the bumpers, I am changing them so they don't suffocate babies.
320 million people live in the US and 1 of them will die from animals you may be able to kill with a gun in the middle of the night. Only a mountain lion or alligator will hunt you in the wild. The last time a wolf killed an American in the wild was 1888, thanks to Sarah Palin shooting at them from helicopters. Having seen her 'shoot' on her reality show I am positive she never killed one.

You are far more likely to shoot yourself or a camping partner then you are of killing a wild animal to save your live. Only paranoid people bring guns in the woods for protection.

you're changing the bumpers (and i don't think the ones you described exist) so you're child won't be the 1 in 3MM to die.  and that's not paranoia.

meanwhile, a guy who takes his guns to the wilderness to protect himself so he won't be, say, the 1 in 1000 who dies from a wolf attack IS paranoid.

you don't have to admit you are wrong (you never do), but if i'm reading it right, those are your two arguments.  if so, that strikes me as odd.  that's all.

and again, i don't even own a gun.  those two things when put side by side strike me as a bit odd.

Ok let me say this as nicely as possible...you are an idiot. Ya, that was gentle. NO ONE has died in the US from a wild wolf attack since 1888. So the chances of dying from a wolf attack is about zero. The people that die from wolf attacks are those people who try to have them as pets. How is this so hard for you to understand, are you really that dense?

The rate of people dying from wild animal attacks is so much smaller than a SID from a bumber it is almost immeasurable.

The argument was being scared in the woods of the things that go bump in the night. That is irrational given the minimal chances of ever being attacked by anything.

The bumber issue is easily fixed so you bring the possiblity down to zero. It is not an either/or situation. WalMart sells breathable bumpers.

I would have loved to have seen you run into Travis the Chimp in the woods.  I would have loved to see him tear your face off, preferably while he was wearing overalls.

Plus FATSEXY lives in Mississippi so there's a great chance that he runs into Rebel Black Bear.

We need a mod for this folder that will interject and tell people to get back on topic.  Same with the wrestling folder (DDL/Harrison Ford discussion in The Best in the World thread, for instance).  It's been getting out of hand lately and it never would have happened under my watch!

SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH!

Who is unknownman89 and how did he get the keys to 90% of the folders?

Does he do technical work that we don't now about?  Hiding in the shadows?

Topic creep is actually good, considering this board gets very little action since to old days. Movie threads should be able to spur debate, especially if they are shitty movies I will never see.

You got insight into why I don't care for scary movies...I am just not afraid of things.
