The old fashioned ratings system would be great. Little reviews for everyone. All the girls had 100% positives, it was hilariously transparent.

I miss the anxiety I felt when BobbyR or FATSEXY would momentarily pull ahead of me as the most highly rated poster on A1. I also missed when posters went bad and all the negative ratings piled up on them.

I started out with 956 points, and then the backlash began. The accusations. Does FATSEXY do drugs (yes)? Does FATSEXY fly to Bangkok to have sex with barely legal ladyboys (yes)? Does FATSEXY belong to a sex cult (false, they wouldn't let me in)?

FS - didn't you use to make sure you had the highest post count or something like that? this would have been WAY back in 01 or 02.

JA sent me a lot of nice ones. We used to get along pretty good, until we didn't.

And I still have no idea what set him against me. I think it was my calling him fat with a Jabba the Hutt image.

I could never compete with BobbyR's postcount. All told, he has to be over 70k in the board's various incarnations.

I did try to take a run at him. I had a bunch of posts. I think TH has overtaken me at this point, too. He may have always been ahead of me. Facebook has really wrecked my foruming game.

I think I used to claim that I had the highest post views and I would loudly complain that I had a high post views count but no one ever replied to me.

I joined in I believe the fall of 2000. I was a somewhat socially awkward 14 year old and quickly got banned for calling Janitor an asshole over AIM. He eventually let me back on sometime in 2001. I posted a lot those next few years(came up with some really bad efed characters) but gradually became more and more of a lurker.

If they were one person, then it was an elaborate hoax, because I remember AIM chatting with them and having them argue with each other. So he switched and typed really fast and kept which was saying what pretty well, ya know? Do you guys not remember AIM chatting with them?

actually, he didn't save his life. but he convinced himself he did. so initially there were two, but then gpac took on his brother's personality when janitor died. really sad story.

I am Gpac. I was here from the beginning. I remember doing the parody of Dave Sherer's 1wrestling newsletter crap. I do not recall bringing anyone over.

May have been Janitor. But I remember on 1Bob replying to a post that criticized the news breaking (or lack thereof) of Ryder and Scherer (who of course worked for Bob Ryder at the time). I had gotten an AOL IM that politely and professionally told me that I was full of shit for defending Bob and Scherer and said that a bunch of posters formed A1 and referred to it as "my site". The rest is history. I just assumed it was either you or Janitor, but i don't remember the name.
