Gaming wish list
« on: March 11, 2012, 02:53:57 PM »
For stuff that's not in development or ported, or whatever else you'd like to see...

I wish they'd hurry up and get Shining Force III in the Xbox Live Arcade already.  Back in the day, only Saturn users got to play it, and they only got one disk of a three disk set.

We have Radiant Silvergun now, for crying out loud, and the Shining series was way more popular than that shump..

Yes, I want a new Mutant League Football game too.
Also, HD versions of Blades of Steel and Double Dribble. Plus, a Demon's/Dark Souls game on the PS Vita (the only reason why I would buy a Vita).

Me too.

The best Superman game I ever played was a mod for Freedom Force.  :(

This isn't a game per say, but:

How about Microsoft offering an online model that lets silver member gamers actually play their games online.  They could still do the gold membership thing by offering perks, like being able to participate in online ladder events or something.

Seriously banning Silver members from being able to do ANYTHING online with that copy of Call of Duty they paid for is just ridiculous in this day and age, when you could do online gaming for nothing on a PS3 or a laptop computer...

It is a shame that the best Superman game was for the Atari 2600. And that was without knowing what the hell you were doing...

I might actually play a Lego game again, haven't really played one since the first Indy one, and didn't play much of that either. Love the Supes scene, such an epic theme.

Anyone remember a game called Battle Clash on the SNES?  Pretty much the only good super scope game ever made, along with it's sequel Metal Combat.

You'd think that would be a natural for use with the Wii remote, yet it was never ported to that console.  For that matter, a modern update with 3d effects could have been so good, it would've revived the franchise and made Nintendo a lot of money..  I mean, what kid wouldn't love to duel it out with badass looking giant robots?

It'd be nice if it had a killer shooter, that's another one that the Wii really failed on.  I was really hoping for a great Time Crisis game, but alas.

Dusted off Shattered Soldier, died a lot, and now I'm looking up those 99 life cheats.

 Has anyone ever beat these games (on normal difficulty or higher) without using those cheats?  ^_^;

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing another Contra game.  Shattered Soldier is probably the best game since Alien Wars and looks awesome for its time, but it would be nice seeing a Contra Game in full HD.

Of course, they could just port Shattered Soldier and update it, but a new game would be more fun...

Edit: I know there's been Contra games released since, but I'd like to see one done in the style of Shattered Soldier, is basically my point...

It was one of the best done Contra games ever, I thought..  But for some reason, people want the 8 bit/16 bit style over the 3d rendered.

You get what you pay for - Xbox live is easily THE best online service available and works out at around £0.60 per month... If you have an Xbox it doesn't make sense to not have it.

As for my wish list - I want to see the original arcade version of Rygar on XBLA and, more importantly, a Powerstone HD double pack featuring both games (with the obvious four player online mode of course).

I don't know, Xbox Live is getting a lot of complaints ever since the recent updates..  Lots more advertising, and limits on customizing your desktop are among chief complaints.  And PSN has some a long way..

And while, yes, you do get what you pay for, Live is basically the only online service that demands subscription just to access Youtube!  Even Wii gives you that much without charge..

For my part though, I'm considering getting one of those year membership cards at Best Buy, which were selling at a good price, because I have a gift card (If it wasn't for the gift card, I wouldn't even consider walking into Best Buy for anything..)

The only reason I'm not a gold member is because I'm more of a single player gamer than a multi player gamer..  I prefer the visceral experience you get from a story, over sweating it out with a million other gamers for recognition (And putting up with the pro kids that love lording it over everyone else..

Good choices.

I agree, those would be awesome.

How was this only ever ported to the Dreamcast?  Looks awesome.

Almost as if Virtual On was a 2d fighter.
