dave - did the crowd sound like this last week?  cause on tv, last week when rock was talking, the chanting sounded like it was coming from a handful of guys near the ring.  you could barely hear anyone more than a few rows back.  it was like either the crowd was shit or the only working mics were rocks and cenas.

Interesting development with Rock saying he wants the gold. 


I liked the cold open to RAW in the back.  I like seeing a variety of different setups to open the show, it helps it not feel so formulaic.

This crowd is hotter, but I thought the ATL crowd did fine with the Rock's chants.  I don't know though.  The crowd did not seem nearly as dead in Philips Arena as it came across on TV apparently.

Something just hit me.  WWE regularly fill up about 70% of their flagship show with the guys who were involved in the 10 man tag at Mania.  That's how they build these guys to the fans, and they wonder why they are stagnating at the lower end of 3.x in the ratings?

it's not the first time this has happened.  it really throws a wrench in zandrax's "crowd has to be into it to be a good match" requirement.

I wouldn't say a hot crowd is a requirement, but it certainly helps a lot. In contrast, a dead crowd can take away from a match.
