All of that Arquette comparison is dead on minus the part where Arquette is arguably the most beloved wrestler in history who then went on to become a legitimate action movie star and then came back to wrestling.

Again, what purpose would it serve to give The Rock the WWE title? He doesn't need the title to get people to the shows, PPVs purchases, etc. He's not even a full-time wrestler....he's an actor!

i don't necessarily have a problem with the rock holding the title or things playing out predictably. but as has been said, as of tonight, the card for wrestlemania is incredibly lame. i wasn't looking forward to waiting 90 minutes for nj transit to take me and thousands of wrestling fans (ugh) home anyway. but it was a little more tolerable when punk was enjoying a 400+ day title reign and...anything was possible!!

That's fine....let's give the WWE World title to a part-time wrestler. It's like giving an 'employee of the year' award to someone who worked only 10 hours a week for one month and took PTO time the rest of the year.

So Punk is wrestling Taker at Mania right?

I mean that's the only thing left for him to do.  And the only consolation for losing the title to a horrible elbow drop is to break the streak.

I don't know how Rock has a body left.  He was sweating so much.  I don't believe I've ever seen that much sweat come out of a man before.  It was kind of disturbing.

It'll be worth it just to have the crowd shit all over Cena to close out the PPV.

I have been telling you: Cocaine and Steroids. He isn't going to live much longer. I kind of wish Punk was an even bigger dick than normal and mention how Rocky would fail a wellness test on RAW.

Not if they tear the building down, which seems very possible.

My favorite part of the Royal Rumble was Wade Barrett getting pissed off at that boring, wet looking rookie and nailing him with the Wade Hammer.

How does Ziggy concentrate with AJ staring at him like that during his promos?

What was the deal with Vickie handing D-Bryan and Kane their numbers.  Did I miss something?  What happened to the luck of the draw?

The wrestlers draw their numbers via computer now.

What happens is, they get to the building, and they have a computer set up right by the door.  A wrestler signs in with his company wide screen name and password.  He goes to the proper encrypted address and hits the "DRAW YOUR NUMBER" button on the screen.  Now, you'd think the computer would just tell them the number right then and there.  But in order to make sure no backstage shennagins are going on, the number isn't told to them right away.  They print out in an office in the back, where they are counted by Price Waterhouse consultants.  Vickie Guerrero is then handed the envelope when all the participants have used the computer, and she hands them all their numbers before the big match.  They explained it all in the opening video package.

It's an option, but Vince himself overturned it and he is the Chairman/Owner/Whatever. Unless of course, they need him not to be now.

We put down our arms, listened to Hank III, and stood side by side against a common adversary.

This is a sad day?

I have no idea who Hank III is.

Also, I don't know why you assume an all-time classic between Rock/Cena when the first match was solid but not great. Especially in front of an NY crowd, the same one that chanted for Zack Ryder during a Cena/Rock match over a year ago.

it's pretty cool to wake up in a world where The Rock is the wwe champion. even if he does only work three months a year, those three months are pretty cool. i just wish he had a better number one contender.
