Starting to wonder if I backed the right horse here:
I am on the mission for Mr. House where I have to destroy the Brotherhood of Steel's bunker.  I took a break from that though to help run some missions for the Brotherhood.  I knew I didn't want to back Caesar's Legion b/c they were slavers, but I'm thinking BoS or NCR would be more appropriate to help than Mr. House at this point.
Also, I'm not going to find out what each choice concludes with as I want to make the decision and live with the consequences until my second playthrough.

Can you continue playing this once you finish out the story mode?  I hated that in Fallout 3 that you couldn't at least roam the Wasteland killing things if you wanted.

Nevermind, I found out the answer to that.  I finished the main storyline by siding with Mr. House.  Now I'm playing through from the last save point before I started the final mission because I want to explore some more and level up to 30 with this guy.  After that I will probably start from an earlier save where I can go with a different option than Mr. House:
I will not wipe out the BoS and will choose to kill Mr. House.
I'm up to Level 24 now.  I took the Explorer perk so I'm pretty much just going point-to-point and trying to find any quests I didn't do while completing the main quest initially.  For example, I went to Freeside and did a couple of easy ones for the twins.  I don't typically use companions, but I have one now and I like it simply because they shoulder the load while I gain XP in battle.

I finally leveled up to 30 last night.  I don't know if I'm going to mess around with that anymore or go back to an earlier point and finish the main storyline a different way yet.  On my way to Level 30 I now see a bunch of quests I didn't know about initially (mostly in Freeside).  It was fun finding those couple of quests and knocking them out to level up faster.

I still want to take the opportunity to play as an evil character at some point, but I never can go through with it for some reason.

Anyone else still playing?  I just went through Vault 34 to get to the Armory and that shit was intense.

Oh I'm still going at it. My character is level 25 or 26 I believe. She's been wandering and exploring of late, leading up to heading back into NV to attend to serious business and the matter of revenge. Still loving it, but I take these games far slower than most I think. I already have the expansion but haven't gone after that mission as of yet.

I haven't played in a few weeks, too much new stuff right now. I'll go back and beat Dead Money and whatever other expansions come out though. Playing Black Ops and Pac Man right now. Plus I have Epic Mickey too.

I should add that I play Casual mode only.  No Hardcore mode for me.  I think I've visited every spot on the map except for Legate's Camp.  I'm not sure you can get there unless you take the final quest though.  I wiped out Vault 34, like I said, and plan to visit all the other vaults as well.  Then I'll probably take a break as I'm still playing SVR 2011 and my brother-in-law loaned me RDR.  He just finished FO3 so I'll probably return the favor and loan him New Vegas if he wants.

Could be spoilery, but here's a really cool FO: NV poster.

Went ahead and scored the achievement for getting thrown out of all the casinos on the strip. And then found a bunch of caps at that airport near the radiated town. I am suddenly mad rich.
