Kirk Ferentz brings the stupid:

Quote from: Kirk Ferentz postgame transcript
Q. Last drive, quarterback sneak, was the plan to get up and spike the ball?

COACH FERENTZ: No, we wanted to burn the timeout and just go from there. I guess we could have gone the other way. Might have saved us two seconds, something like that. I don't think that was exactly the turning point in the game.

You're a moron, coach.

Life's good for a BAMA fan when you can put in your backup QB because you're curb stomping Tennessee.  Light up them cigars boys.

The offense frustrated me, but BAMA outlasted a talent depleted Tenn team.  Not bad for a team that I think looks tired and needs this bye week badly.  RTR!

Looks like MIZZOU is prepared to Northwestern this game.

Bob Stoops with a head scratcher, down 9 with 6 mins to go and chooses to go for 2 instead of kick XP.  I get wanting to get to a 7 point deficit, but if you don't get it (they didn't) then you are still down by two scores instead of one.

Oklahoma exposed as liars and frauds.

Hard to imagine that a team that struggled to beat Utah State at home and needed a muffed punt to put away Cincy would lose.

Seriously all these idiotic pundits who claimed OU had the best resume coming into this game are too stupid to be allowed to live.

I didn't jump up and down about Oklahoma moving to 1, but I didn't really see anything special about them to warrant that spot either.

So we are left with 7 unbeatens:

Oregon (7-0)
Boise St. (7-0)
Auburn (8-0)
TCU (8-0)
Michigan St. (8-0)
Utah (7-0)
Missouri (7-0)

I'd say Alabama and Wisconsin are in the best shape of the 1 loss teams. Wisconsin doesn't have any hard games left.

It seriously irritates me watching people rush the field.  That stuff's OK in high school and that's where it needs to stop.

Considering Missouri never beats anyone that's any good, I think it's merited.

It didn't bug me because I knew they weren't running the table, so it was a moot point anyway.

There's also a pragmatic reason to keep fans off the field.  General safety is one, but another was illustrated here.  There was a flag thrown (I think it was against Oklahoma so no big deal) and the officials never even got to say what the penalty was because the crowd was on the field.  Now had that been a one score game and been against Mizzou that would be a big problem.

Of course, Les Miles out Les Miled-himself by going for it from his own 30 with 3:30 to go.   In the end it didn't matter because LSU couldn't do jack squat against Cam Newton, but still...

Ferentz not acknowledging that it was a mistake is baffling.  Of course Bob Stoops has won a NC and did some really questionable things late against Mizzou.

Yeah, going for two down 36-27 was a wacky move.  The rule of thumb is always to extend the game, and by going for two and failing they basically hosed themselves.  Although I think the illegal touching call on the ensuing onside kick was REALLY close and I'm surprised it wasn't reviewed.

So, who is left to keep Oregon or Boise State from being number 1?

Oregon and Auburn are the first two that come to mind.  Missouri is undefeated as is Michigan State.  I may be forgetting someone.

Worth noting that TCU kicked the shit out of the same Air Force team OU struggled mightily to beat.  They have given up ten points in their last four games.  I don't give a fuck who you are playing, that is impressive.

Edwards nailed the Top 6. Here's the Top 10:

1. Auburn
2. Oregon
3. Boise St
4. TCU
5. Michigan State
6. Missouri
7. Alabama
8. Utah
9. Oklahoma
10. Wisconsin

I expect a Bama vs. Oregon championship game. Things will get chaotic if Oregon screws up like they normally do.
