Like the name, love that it won't be 3d, but I was looking forward to the Riddler on the off chance that it would be played by Michael Emerson.

I can't see 3d. Each movie is a slap in the face.

This was taking forever to load earlier, so I googled the name.  And I came across this from MTV.

Quote
At long last, Christopher Nolan has revealed the title to his third "Batman" film. And as was the case with "The Dark Knight," the very mention of Batman himself is nowhere to be found. Instead, the critically acclaimed director of "Memento" and "Inception" will call his next film "The Dark Knight Rises."

I hate that person.

I am glad it's not the Riddler because that means there still a chance for it to be either Condiment King or Annihilus.

No Riddler makes me really curious now. He was such an obvious choice because how easily he'd blend in Nolan's Batman universe, but I'm also glad because it felt so inevitable.

Hopefully this opens the door for Baby Face

Killing Two-Face was a dumb move.

Not to open this can of worms again, but it wouldn't shock me to see a Two-Face return especially if you aren't going to re-cast Joker.

If Nolan had big plans for the character, he wouldn't have been killed off. If he was really desperate to bring him back, he could by saying Batman and Commish Gordon faked Harvey's death as a cover up and he's been locked up the entire time.

Besides if he isn't using the Riddler, he must have a good idea for the villain (Baby Face).

One report I read said we would see some returning characters from the previous Films. They DID fake Harvey's death. He will be in it.

Baby Face wasn't a good idea at any point in time.

Going from the title I'm guessing it's Christina Hendricks as Poison Ivy.

The Riddler just seemed like a perfect addition.

So far the non-mob villains have been mirror images of Batman, which to me makes Catwoman the likely villain

This site has an interesting post on the subject: http://erikwilliams.blogspot.com/

Death Stroke was heavily rumored last time, I wish they would bring him and re-imagine him as an evil version of Batman, or they'd have him as an assassin for hire out to get Batman. Eric Roberts is taking over Hollywood again, they should tease that someone from the last movie lived and let it be him.

I remember Nolan saying he wasn't interested in simply retreading past villains. They did Joker because of how iconic the two are.

They could bring back Ra's as coming back from the dead is his schtick.

Deadshot is stupid.  They should use Deathstroke.

Deathstroke always seemed to be more linked to Teen Titans than Bataman per se. But I wouldn't complain if they did use him.

If they wanted to use Fatty's idea of an Anti-Batman there's always Prometheus or Owlman.

The typical non-comic fan who doesn't follow Batman religiously and who has seen a vagina would be more likely to say "Deathstroke? Badass!" than they would be say "Holy shit Owlman is going to fuck Batman up!"

I'd save Deathstroke for a JLA movie, he's bigger than Batman really. Also have him played by Kiefer Sutherland.
