Punk finally tells Colt Cabana his side of the story. I don't have a direct download yet, but there is a Stitcher and iTunes link included

I wouldn't be surprised to see HHH make fun of CM Punk on Raw after the interview. Punk wasn't bitter about his time in the WWE but he made HHH look like an asshole.

EDIT: Yikes, Punk called Ryback a "steroid user" and an unsafe wrestler.

I can't see how Punk's massive ego didn't make WWE more than happy to see him go.

Based on what Punk describes from the podcast/interview, I don't think anyone in their right mind would work for the WWE or be a wrestler.

If you work for a company that makes you work with a staph infection without a proper diagnosis or withhold pay for petty reasons and 'retro breach of contract,' let me know.

EDIT: Keep in mind I think Punk has a massive ego as well.

I still say it's a bit more complex than that. There's no clear good guy/bad guy in this. I do get his point of "Why do I keep losing to the guys that leave for months?" though.

The fact that his is on his friend's free podcast and not a "teh SHOOTZ" DVD says something about his character though.

Knowing how much of a moody prick Punk can be I found this interview fascinating. He was pissed, waited to digest things, kept his mouth shut and taked when he was ready. Mad respect for this. As Z said, he talked to his buddy, for free, instead of selling his story to the highest bidder.

It was his choice and his money to walk away from. I salute him for doing what he felt was best for him. I'm a fan of the man and this interview made me understand him a little bit better.

Selfishly, i'd love to see him back in wrestling some day but I get why he wouldn't.

Thanks for the memories Punk.

"Right now. Me. Right now in Cleveland, Ohio, take fucking care of me right fucking now. Don’t worry about where i’m supposed to be tomorrow. Don’t worry about what segment i’m supposed to be on. Fucking fix me. My fucking ribs are broken, my knee is fucking torn up, i’m fucking sick..somebody fucking help me.”

This quote was heart breaking IMO....

I saw very little of Punk's last run while it was happening, but every time I saw him, I thought he looked horrible, and I would often ask Tograt if he was dying.

Is that the same doctor that saved Lawler from the heart attack?  Why wouldn't he help? I hope the current crop of wrestlers are getting second opinions from non WWE associated doctors.

I think Kane might have the beginnings of a staph infection after seeing him at SS.

This was an interesting listen.  Sure there was bias in there but he was also pretty open about admitting he was a dickbag and hard to work with at times.  Also a lot of what he said about the workings of the company lines up with a lot of what has been said elsewhere or seemed like was happening.

"I'm dumb as fuck" - Ryback

This whole interview goes by so quickly because it's great. I believe everything he says because while he is his own biggest fan, he's never been a liar. Dick? Sure, but not a liar.

My favorite part was Punk can't walk his friend to a UFC ring because someone will die because it's UFC and barbaric so they want nothing to do with it.  All I could think was "Oh ok so you aren't the company that on their own decided to get Ken Shamrock to work for you and Brock Lesnar totally isn't a thing."

Not only that, but how many wrestlers have died young due to concussions and drug abuse? It's worse than the NFL.

Plus like he said, about a week later HHH walked Mayweather to the ring for his boxing match. 50 year old boxers can't add 2+2 in their head due to concussions and some have actually died in the ring.

This is also true.  I really hope that Punk really did immediately respond to Vince's statement upon death and barbarism with Owen Hart, R.I.P., like he claims he did

He just said what we all assumed anyway, that the company is run day to day and is only where it is due to past success and building such a huge lead over anyone else.

Refusing to pay him royalties and then having THQ tweet Punk to promote the videogame? They obviously do not consult lawyers before making every decision. That cost them a lot of money.

If Punk ever comes back, it's not gonna be for at least 2 years and a guaranteed Mania Main Event.

Listened to the whole thing in one sitting. Very entertaining.

I like Punk. I started to not care anymore after a while, just because I'm sick of fans still chanting for him, but after this I like him again. Exposing WWE's shady health policy is a good thing, and if it went down even close to how he describes it, he probably should have left a lot earlier than he actually did, for health reasons.

Their concussion testing sounds like a joke.

This is basically a 2 hour, unsanctioned version of his pipe bomb promo from 2011.

I wonder if Roman Reigns is being rushed back.

Looks like lots of places are picking up the fired on his wedding day thing.

That's the perfect type of tabloid/TMZ type headline that non-wrestling fans will click on.

If people are still having trouble accessing the podcast, here's a YouTube version. Dunno if it's official or not. No video, just audio.

That's how I had to listen to it. iTunes still won't download it.

Not offering health insurance is one thing, but having a Doctor on staff that really only treats you as long as it doesn't interfere with your TV schedule is ridiculous and should be cause for the Doctor's license being revoked.

I thought Ryback was sloppy but Punk just makes him out to be a huge dick too.

To the folks talking about Punk's big ego...he's an entertainer.  Kind of a pre-requisite to be successful in the business

I have so many opinions about this.

I'll should probably just keep them to myself.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do.

I think the part that makes him look the worst is the idea that his wife had to go find him a doctor to get that issue taken care of.  I understand that the WWE doc should've probably been more proactive but for a guy like Punk to go along with that for that period of time is kind of ridiculous.
