This looks to be the WrestleKingdom 10 card.

IWGP Heavyweight Championship - Kazuchika Okada(c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi. Okada and Tanahashi have a long rivalry. They are about even in W-L with each other, but Okada has never beaten Tanahashi at WrestleKingdom (New Japan's WrestleMania)

IWGP Intercontinental Title - Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs. AJ Styles - AJ issued the challenge after Nakamura defended the title against AJ's Bullet Club teammate Karl Anderson. No beat down, just AJ handed Nakamura the title and said "I will take this from you"

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship - Kenny Omega(c) vs. KUSHIDA - Third match in their feud.

IWGP Junior Tag Championship - ReDragon(c) vs. Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice vs. Matt Sydal & Ricochet

NWA Light Heavyweight Championship - TigerMask IV(c) vs. Jushin Thunder Liger

NEVER Openweight Championship - Tomohoro Ishii vs. Tomoaki Honma. They just had a match that Ishii won,but I have the feeling the underdog Honma will get a rematch.

Rumors of La Sombra to WWE have been swirling for awhile, and Evil being announced as Naito's partner has only fueled these.

Naito even randomly showed up in Mexico a couple of weeks ago, palling around with Los Ingobernables.

I can't remember if I've asked this before but how hard is it to cancel if you subscribe? I've heard conflicting reports. Like some people say they can't figure it out (because the website is primarily Japanese) and others say it's as easy as anything else.

Anyone here cancelled before? I want to check it out but I'm afraid I won't be able to cancel it easily.

Just fine if you like the high flying/flipping stuff.

I heard you have to set your computer on fire to get out of the deal.  Could just be a rumor though.

Well let me know if you do!

I seriously do want to check it out. Maybe I'll risk it. If I'm locked into NJPW for 8 dollars a month for the rest of my life it's probably not going to kill me.

Road To Dontaku (sp?) results

Tiger Mask IV, Ryusuke Taguchi, & Manabu Nakanishi b. CHAOS (IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Champions Roppongi Vice * Gedo) when Nakanishi made Gedo submit to the Torture Rack. A lot of comedy (common with Taguchi matches) that built to the big man Nakanishi using Taguchi's signature hip attack. Or as I call it "The Butt Butt"

Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) b. David Finlay & Jay White when Honma pinned Finlay with an Over The Shoulder Reverse Piledriver

IWGP Tag Team Champions Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa) b. Juice Robinson & Captain New Japan when Tama pinned Captain New Japan following a double team DDT. Juice Robinson is the former CJ Parker, and Tanga Roa is the former Camacho. G.O.D. continued to beat on the babyfaces untel Great Bash Heel made the save.

Yuji Nagata & Jushin Thunder Liger b. KUSHIDA & Katsuyori Shibata when Liger pinned KUSHIDA with a crucifix. Liger is challenging KUSHIDA for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship presumably at Dontaku. Nagata will challenge Shibata for the NEVER Openweight Championship.

NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, & Yoshitatsu b. The Bullet Club (IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kenny Omega, Yujiro Takahashi, & Bad Luck Fale) when Elgin pinned Takahashi with a powerbomb. Elgin is set to challenge Omega for the IWGP Intercontinental title.

Los Ingobernables (IWGP World Champion Tetsuya Naito, EVIL, Sanada, & Bushi) b. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, & Yoshi-Hashi) in an 8 man elimination match. If I understand the rules correctly, eliminations were over the top rope until two men remained. Ishii, Naito, and Okada were eliminated by going over the top rope. Sanada won the final fall by making Yoshi-Hashi submit to a Dragon Sleeper. LI beat up CHAOS after the match and Naito cut a promo.

Road To Dontaku Day 2 results

Jay White s. David Finlay (Fit Finlay's son) with a Half Crab

CHAOS (Yoshi-Hashi & IWGP Jr Tag Team Champions Roppongi Vice) b. Tiger Mask IV, "The Funky Weapon" Ryusuke Taguchi, & Captain New Japan. Mainly played for comedy, as most matches are involving Taguchi and CNJ. Yoshi-Hashi submitted CNJ with some sort of double chickenwing.

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion  KUSHIDA, NEVER Opwenweight Champion Katsuyoru Shibata, & Juice Robinson b. Jushin Thunder Liger, Yuji Nagata, & Manabu Nakanishi when Shibata pinned Nakanishi with The Penalty Kick. Shibata put Nagata in a sleeper post match and held it until Nagata passed out. Liger fought KUSHIDA outside and put him in the Hoverboard Lock.

Los Ingobernables (Bushi & Sanada) b. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & Gedo) when Gedo submitted to Sanada's Dragon Sleeper. Bushi spat mist on Okada, and Sanada put him in the Dragon Sleeper. Both Gedo and Okada were left unconscious. Notice a pattern here? Heels are winning and then beating down guys because they're jerks. Which helps build to big singles matches.

CHAOS (Hirooki Goto & ROH TV Champion Tomohiro Ishii) b. Los Ingobernables (IWGP World Champion Tesuya NAITO & EVIL) when Ishii pinned EVIL with a Brain Buster. Ishii is challenging Naito for the IWGP World Title at Dontaku.

Special Tag Match: Bullet Club (IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi, & IWGP Tag Team Champions Guerrillas Of Destiny) b. Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, NEVER Opwenweight Six Man Tag Champions Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin,  & Yoshitatsu

Like yesterday, eliminations happen with an over the top rope toss

Makabe eliminated Tanga Roa via tope rope toss
Tama Tonga eliminated Makabe via top rope elimination
Fale elminated Tonga accidentally by clotheslining him to the outside.
Fale eliminated Honma by giving him the Hand Grenade on the apron
Fale elininated Tanahashi after knocking him to the floor after Tanahashi tried to skin the cat
Elgin eliminated Fale by clotheslining him over the top rope
Elgin eliminated Takahashi via pinfall with a Powerbomb
Omega eliminated Elgin via top rope toss after spraying him with hairspray
Omega pinned Yoshitatsu with The One Winged Angel to win the match.

Kizuna Road results

Ryusuke Taguchi p. David Finlay with the Dodon (wheelbarrow like face slam). Good fast paced match.

CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, Roppongi Vice, & Kazushi Sakuraba) b. Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask IV, Captain New Japan, & Manabu Nakanishi when Ishii pinned Captain with a Brainbuster. This is what you come to expect with multi-man tag matches in New Japan. Not bad at all, but the formulaic finish of Captain New Japan taking the fall for his team.

Satishi Kojima, Matt Sydal, & Yoshitatsu b. The Bullet Club (Hangman Page, Chase Owens, & Yujiro Takahashi) when Kojima pinned Owens with a Lariat. Bullet Club had new music. No Young Bucks because they were at the ROH show on Friday. The heels beat up the babyfaces afterward and Page hung Yoshitatsu over the top rope with his lasso.

G1 Glimax Announcement (I'll make a separate thread for G1 Coverage)

NEVER Openweight Champion Katsuyori Shibata, Yuji Nagata, & Hiroyoshi Tenzan b. Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma) & Juice Robinson when Tenzan pinned Robinson with a Moonsault. Obviously the big story here is Nagata teaming with Shibata, whom he'd been feuding with for months. Honma got in the ring and started trading blows with Hibata (they have an upcoming G1 Match) and Makabe tried to help separate them. Shibata decked Honma with a kick before the other wrestlers separated them. We have our new NEVER Openweight Title feud it seems. Tenzan cut a promo about the G1 after everybody welse went to the back.

CHAOS (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) b. Los Ingobernables De Japon (EVIL & Sanada)  when YOSHI-HASHI pinned Sanada with a roll-up reversal. Crowd really popped for the CHAOS win.

Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI) b. CHAOS (IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada & Will Ospreay) when BUSHI pinned Ospreay with a second rope Codebreaker. After the mathc Naito and BUSHI cut promos.

Road To Destruction - 9/12

Multi-Camera show with no commentary

David Finlay p. ??? with a stunner. I do not know who his opponent was, but it was perfectly fine openng match material. Crowd seemed to like Finlay.

The Bullet Club (Chase Owens & Yujiro Takahashi) b. The Bullet Hunters (Yoshitatsu & Captain New Japan) when Takahashi pinned Captain with the Pimp Juice DDT. Imagine my shock.

After the match Yoshitatsu cut a promo over the fallen Captain. I don't know what he said, but he didn't look happy at first. By the time it was over, he did seem to crack a few jokes. Tatsu and Captain left separately.

Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, Jushin Thunder Liger, & Ryusuke Taguchi b. CHAOS (Will Ospreay, Gedo, Rocky Romero, & Baretta) when Taguchi submitted Baretta with an ankle lock.

Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) b Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi when Makabe pinned Nakanishi with the King Kong Kneedrop. Honma also landed a Kokeshi headbutt, so Nakanishi ate both finishers. Good tag team hossfight though

EVIL p. Juice Robinson with an STO. Longer match than I expected given EVIL is higher in the pecking order.

ReDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) b. Katsuyori Shibata & Tiger Mask IV when O'reilly pinned Tiger Mask following a Chasing The Dragon team finisher. ReDragon also hit Shibata with the Chasing The Dragon beforehand to keep him out of the ring.

CHAOS ( IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, & Yoshi-Hashi) b. The Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, & Tanga Roa) when Ishii pinned Roa with a Brainbuster. Good multi-man tag that saw Okada take a beating for much of the early half. Ishii was tagged in for a comeback, but he too was teamed on. The final minutes had teh expected exciting echange of moves as everybody hits a big move on somebody else. Ishii eventually rallied with his sliding clothesline and brainbuster for the wwin.

Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Sanada, & BUSHI) b. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, & KUSHIDA when BUSHI pinned KUSHIDA with a second top rope Codebreaker. BUSHI had hit one earlier, but the pin was broken. BUSHI also hit the mist on KUSHDA. Lots of moves back and forth in the closing minutes, and after the finish, the heels beat down the babyfaces. There was a fourth masked member of LIJ who did not interfere or participate in the beatdown. Presumably it's not EVIL, which would seem to imply there will be an unmasking at a later event.

BUSHI cut a promo on the fallen Jr. Heavyweight Champion.

A decent show, nothing to write home about. But this was also a build-up show, not a major event.

Destruction In Tokyo - 9/17

Full show with commentary

Roppungi Vice (Rocky Romero & Baretta) b. David Finlay & The Guy Finlay Beat In The Last Show. Basic opening tag match with Baretta pinning That Guy with an inverted piledriver.

Manabu Nakanishi & Yuji Nagata b. Yoshitatsu & Captain New Japan when Nagata pinned Captain with an Exploder Suplex. No follow up with Captain this time.

Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, & Tiger Mask IV b. Satoshi Kojima, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, & Jushin Thunder Liger when Honma pinned Liger with the Kokeshi Headbutt. Fun six man tag that had some hossfight material Makane was in with Kojima or Tenzan. Also intersting that Honma beat such a vet cleanly with his finisher.

CHAOS (Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, & Gedo) b. The Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Tanga Roa, & Chase Owens) when Ishii pinned Roa with a Brainbuster.

Kyle O'Reilly s. Juice Robinson with a Cross-armbreaker. Very good match where Juice looked strong even in defeat.

CHAOS (IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada, YOSHI-HASHI, & Will Ospreay) b. The Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, & Yujiro Takahashi) when YOSHI-HASHI pinned Takahashi with Karma (Pumphandle Driver). Post match brawl had Fale trying to powerbomb Okada through a table, but security stopped it. Fale challenges Okada for the title in an upcoming show.

Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Sanada, & EVIL) b. Hiroshi Tanahashi, IWGP Intercontinental Champion Michael Elgin, & Ryusuke Taguchi when Sanada made Taguchi submit to the Drago Sleeper. Naito put Elgin in a Figure 4 post match because the heels are dicks. Naito is challenging Elgin for the IC Strap on a later show.

NEVER Openweight Champion Katsuyori Shibata p. ROH World TV Champion Bobby Fish with a Penalty Kick to retain the title. As physical of a match as you'd expect. On a side note, Google Translator somehow changes "Openweight" to "Indiscriminate". So Shibata is listed in English as "The NEVER Indiscriminate Champion".

BUSHI (of LIJ) p. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA to win the title. This was New Japan's version of an Attitude Era PPV Main event, as there was a ton of interference. It started when KUSHIDA went for a Springboard Dropkick, but BUSHI pulled referee Red Shoes in the way, then sprayed KUSHIDA with mist. Naito came in the ring so he and BUSHI could double team the champion. They were setting up a possible spike piledriver when Michael Elgin ran in for the save. Elgin and Naito brawled to the back. KUSHIDA made a comeback. BUSHI hit a Canadian Destroyer for a near fall. BUSHI then hit his finisher (top rope codebreaker), but KUSHIDA kicked out. Not to be deterred, BUSHI hit it a second time to get the pinfall.

The final two matches really made this a great show.

Destruction In Hiroshima - 9/22

Full show with commentary

Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, & Ricochet b. Togi Makabe, Yoshitatsu, & Captain New Japan when Kojima pinned Captain with a lariat.

Rysuke Taguchi, David Finlay, & ReDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) b. Yuji Nagata, Manabu Nakanishi, Tomoaki Honma, & Tiger Mask IV when O'Reilly pinned Tiger Mask after a Chasing The Dragon.

The Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa) b. Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero & Barreta) when Tonga pinned Romero following a Double team DDT. Good straightforward tag match. It's worth noting that RPG Vice are usually Jr. Heavweights.

CHAOS (Hirooki Goto & Tomohiro Ishii) b. The Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens) when Goto pinned Owens with the GTR.

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, KUSHIDA, & Juice Robinson b. Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion BUSHI, Sanada & EVIL) when Elgin pinned EVIL with a powerbomb. No postmatch brawl, the babyfaces just stood tall and united while the heels left to lick their wounds.

IWGP Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers b. The Young Bucks when Jay Briscoe pinned Matt Jackson after a Doomsday Device to retain the titles.

ROH World Champion Adam Cole p. Will Ospreay with a shoulderbreaker to retain the title. Ospreay is incredibly talented, but good gravy he does stuff that the young Hardy Boys would say "now wait a minute...". Can't help but think he's going to be in a wheelchair in a few years.

IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada p. Bad Luck Fale with a Rainmaker Clothesline to retain the championship. Good match that told the basic story. Fale is the 300 pound monster, and Okada is the athletic champion. Okada was able to both slam and piledrive Fale in two very impressive looking spots. This also avenges the loss Okada suffered to Fale in the G1 tournament.

In the main event, Kenny Omega pinned Yoshi-Hashi to retain his IWGP Heavyweight title shot for the Tokyo Dome. I believe this is the first singles main event for Yoshi-Hashi. While this was a great match that went over 30 minutes, I just didn't buy Yoshi-Hashi as the guy that could win the Tokyo Dome Main Event title sot. Still, they had a great video package that made him look like one of the greatest babyfaces on the planet. The Young Bucks interfered in the match to piledrive Yoshi-Hashi on the floor.

Good show, but I think the last show was better.

Destruction In Kobe - 9/25

Full show with commentary

Tiger Mask, Ryusuke taguchi, & Henare b. CHAOS (Will Ospreay, Rocky Romero, & Beretta) when Taguchi submitted Romero with an anklelock. Basic opening tag match with some comedy. Romero sold the anklelock like it broke his leg though,

Yoshitatsu and Captain New Japan came to the ring for their match with Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens. Tatsu took the mic and told the audience that he had a poll on his Twitter as to whether Captain should stay a member of Hunter Club. the poll was apparently negative because Captain then attacked Tatsu and turned heel.

The Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens) b. Yoshitatsu & Captain New Japan when Takahashi pinned Yoshitatsu with the Pimp Juice DDT.

GBH (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) b. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Teruaki when Honma submitted Teruaki Kanemitsu with a Boston Crab. Tenzan seemed respectful in defeat, but Kanemitsu screamed and shoved Honma. Not sure if it was intential or whether he was just out of it.

ReDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) b. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi when O'Relly made Nakanishi submit to an armbar. It took both guys to get Nakanishi down. O'Reilly had Nakanishi it a Triangle Choke, but Nakanishi was able to lift O'Reilly for a powerbomb. Fish hit a few kicks to Nakanishi's back befor Nakanishi could hit the powerbomb though. This enabled O'Reilly to get Nakanishi down and roll into the armbar.

NEVER Openweight Six-Man tag Champions Satoshi Kojima, Ricochet, & David Finlay) b. The Bullet Club (Adam Cole, &IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions Matt & Nick Jackson) when Ricochet pinned Nick Jackson with a Shooting Star Press. Action packed match! Long heat segment on Finlay. Finlay made a hot tag to Kojima who ran wild on everybody, includin him hitting his signatre rapid fire chops on all three opponents. Ricochet hit several moves as well. The finish was actually a double team move with Finlay hitting a spinning European Uppercut that lead right into Ricochet's Shooting Star. Very impressive finish.

The Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, & Tango Roa) b. Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, & The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark Briscoe) when Tonga pinned Mark Briscoe after a double team DDT. Another good action match that everybody got a chance to shine in.

Los Ingobernables De Japon (Sanada, Evil, & BUSHI) b. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Juice Robinson, & KUSHIDA  when Sanada submitted Robinson with the Dragon Sleeper. Nowhere near as fast or action packed as the previous two matches, but still very good.

CHAOS (IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Yoshi-Hashi, Gedo, & Jado) b. Team NOAH (Naomichi Marufuji, Toru Yano, Daisuke Harada, & Atsushi Kotoge) when Yoshi-Hashi pinned Harada with a Pumphandle Driver. Okada and Marufuji were definitely the focal points, as they have an IWGP Title Match soon

Tetsuya Naito p. IWGP Intercontinental Champion Michael Elgin with Destino to win the title. Another case of New Japan doing an Attitude Era/TNA Main event with a lot of interference. Elgin went for a powerbomb when Naito grabbed referee Red Shoes. Red Shoes took a bump to the outside. This brought out the other three members of LIJ, who triple teamed Elgin. Tanahashi and KUSHIDA were quick to run out for the save, but LIJ still had a numbers advantage. BUSHI misted KUSHIDA while Sanada got Tanahashi in the Dragon Sleeper. The teamup on Elgin resumed, but Elgin fought back with a fallaway slam on both Sanada and Evil. Elgin powerbombed BUSHI to the outside on his teammates. Naito struck with a Destino (his finisher) but Elgin kicked out. Naito went for another Destino, but Elgin reversed it into a Uranage. Elgin mounted a comeback by leveling Naito twice with lariats. Elgin went for his pwerbomb, but Naito turned it into a Destino. Naito hit a third Destino for good measure and got the pin.

Great show with a lot of great wrestling.

King Of pro Wrestling - 10/10 Sumo Arena

Full show with English Commentary by Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino

Pre-Show Match: Tiger Mask W p.Red Death Mask. Purely a match to promote the Tiger Mask W anime series. This Tiger Mask is separate3 from the current Tiger Mask IV, and the mask is much cornier. It looks similar to King's mask if you played the Tekken games.

1. CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, Yoshi-Hashi, & Will Ospreay) b. The Bullet Club (Adam Cole, Bad Luck fale, & Yujiro Takahashi) when Ishii pinned Takahashi with a Brain Buster. Good hardhitting match with a lot of action. Takahashis female escorts helped Takahashi from the ring.

2. GBH (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) ROH TV Champion Bobby Fish, & Ryusuke Taguchi b. CHAOS (Toru Yano, Rocky Romero, Berreta, & Jado) when Honma pinned Jado with the Kokeshi Headbutt. Gedo & Jado (The bookers of New Japan and NOAH respectively) recently won the GHC Junior Tag Championship. Before the match, Yano squirted Makabe with a water bottle (Yano was part of GBH and tag champions with Makabe before turning on him and joining CHAOS). As expected, the match had a lot of comedy. Dissension was teased between Romero and Beretta. After the match Makabe and Yano brawled.

3. New Japan vs. NOAH: Go Shiozaki, Maybach Taniguchi, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Masa Kitamiya (NOAH) b. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, Yuji Nagata, & Manabu Nakanishi (New Japan) when Shiazaki pinned Nakanishi with a lariat. I know very little about NOAH, but I have been impressed with Shiozaki in ROH and Nakajima in the G1. If you like kicks and chops, this match was for you. This was also a match of Grizzled Veterans (everyone on the new Japan side is over the age of 45) and Young Stars. Crowd was solidly behind New Japan, so the NOAH stars heeled it up. n a post match brawl, Nakajima slapped Nagata. Seed planted.

4. IWGP Junior Heavyweight and ROH Tag Champions The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson of The Bullet Club) b. Ricochet & David Finlay to retain the IWGP Titles when Matt Jackson pinned Finlay after More Bang For Your buck Finlay is clearly working his way up the ladder because he wears custom tights now rather than the generic black trunks the "Young Lions" wear. This match had The Bucks and Ricochet in it. 'Nuff said. Lots of high flying and Superkicks.

5. The Guerrilas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa of The Bullet Club) b IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark Briscoe) to win the titles when Tonga pinned Mark after Guerrila Warfare (Elevated DDT) Good gravy this was "Big Ugly Tough Guy Heaven". The Briscoes gave Roa the Doomsday Devicec, but Tonga was behind Mark and caught Roa, so tehy managed to counter a Doomsday Device. Tonga gave Mark one of the sickest looking powerbombs I've ever seen, before hitting a Cutter and Guerrila Warfare for the win.

After the match, The Young Bucks ran out to attack The Briscoes. Ishii ran out for the save, and did run wild for a bit with headbutts, but he still fell to the numbers. Tonga issued an open challenge to anybody in ROH. This means The Bullet Club have the Heavyweight and Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions in their ranks.

They replayed the Tiger Mask W match during intermission for some reason

6. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, KUSHIDA & Jay Lethal b. Los Ingobernables De Japon (IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito, Sanada, EVIL, & IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion BUSHI) when Elgin pinned Naito with a Powerbomb. It was a little weird seeing Lethal team with babyfaces, but Lethal and Naito have been feuding in ROH. Early heat on Tanahashi before he got to tag in KUSHIDA. Toward the end it was mainly Elgin vs. Everybody. Elgin got the pin on the IC Champion after Lethal hit a Lethal Injection and Elgin did his signature Buckle Bomb/Powerbomb Combo.

After the match the heels attcked the faces just to be dicks. KUSHIDA got beat up by getting a chair placed around his neck. Why Elgin and Lethal just stood in the ring while this happened, I don't know. KUSHIDA was stretchered ou.

7. NEVER Openweight Champion Katsuyori Shibata s. Kyle O'Reilly (w/Bobby Fish) with a Rear Naked Choke. Both men have a MMA inspired style. Much like the defense against Fish, this was a very physical match with a lot of kicks and strikes. Technically O'Reilly didn't submit, the referee stopped the match. In a rare sign of respect, Shibata helped O'Relly to his feet and shook hands with both him and Fish. after the match, Go Shiazaki came to the ring for a staredown. Shiazaki walked to the back. Just when it looks like Shiazaki would be the next challenger, EVIL attacked Shibata and laid him out.

8. In a match where the Tokyo Dome IWGP World Championship shot was at stake, Kenny Omega p. Hirooki Goto  I'm not sure why they had a rematch, as Omega beat Goto in the finals of the G1 to claim the title shot in the first place. Goto was very aggressive out of the gate, attacking Omega before the bell rang. They brawled around the ring, and Goto smashed the briefcase. Omega booted Goto out of the ring, where The Bucks double superkicked him. Matt Jackson laid a table over a fallen Goto and hit a douple footstop off the apron. The Bucks set up Goto onto the table, but Yoshi-Hashi made the save. Referee Red Shoes then ejected both Bucks and Yoshi-Hashi. Of course, Omega was the one who went through the table. It's worth noting that Goto got Omega back into the ring before the countout, and the announcers pointed out that Goto could have won the title shot on a countout. Omega kicked out of Sohouten Kai, one of Goto's finishers. Several big move near falls that got the crowd roaring. Goto tried to battle hs way out of The One Winged Angel, but Omega managed to hit it for the clean pinfall.

The announcers pointed out that Goto has once again lost "The Big Match", and that he's 0-8 in world title matches. But the visual of The Bucks and Omega posing with a cardboard briefcase was funny.

9. IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada p. Naomichi Marufuji with The Rainmaker Clothesline. This match took place because Marufuji pinned Okada during the G1. Marufuji was backed by the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster, while Okada came out alone. Crowd was solidly behind Okada. Classic big time match that started out slow, and built from there. Marufuji has some of the best kicks around. Several near falls, including several thrust kicks counters to The Rainmaker, and a Sliced Bread #2 from Marufuji. While there were NOAH wrestlers around the ring, none of them interfered. Okada won the match by hitting Marufuji with his own Emerald Flowsion finisher, then nailed The Rainmaker for the win.

After the match, Omega and Okada and stood in the ring, since their Tokyo Dome Main Event is now official. Omega claimed that everything OKada has in New Japan was given to him, whereas he has taken everything he has. He said he will take the title at The Tokyo Dome, and treat Okada like a little bitch, like they did in America. Okada replied that he has beaten everybody and is not afraid of Omega.

This was a great show, albeit a long one (FIVE HOURS!), but those last three matches were off the charts. I can see somebody calling them MOTY candidates.

I skipped a few shows and went straight to Power Struggle, the next major show

Power Struggle 11/05 - Full show with commentary

Pre-Show: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, & Juice Robinson b. "Blue Justice" Yuji Nagata, Manabu Nakanishi, & Teruaki Kanemitsu when Robinson pinned Kanemitsu with an Impaler. Standard opening match fare. A triple submission spot where Nagata had Kojima in the Nagata Lock, Nakanishi had Tenzan in The Rack, and Kanemitsu had Robinson in a Boston Crab. Nagata and Nakanishi helped Kanemitsu to the back while the opposing team celebrated their win in the ring. Robinsn looked thrilled to be the guy that got the pin for his team

1. Tiger Mask IV, Jushin Thunder Liger, Ricochet, & David Finlay b. Ryusuke Taguchi, Fuego, Titan, & Angel Del Oro  when Finlay pinned Fuego. This is the first I've seen of the three luchadores that came out with Taguchi. All four on Taguchi's team came out to stereotypical mariachi music, dancing and wearing large hats. Very fast paced match with a lot of flipping and flying, but also a good amount of comedy like Taguchi hitting is running "hip attack" (aka butt) on all four opponents. The finish was Finlay hitting a rolling fireman's carry followed by Ricochet hitting a Shooting Star Press. Second match in a row where the rising star got the pin for his team. The luchadores teased getting in the faces of the winners, but it was a joke, and all 8 men shook hands and posed in the ring. What sportsmanship!

2. The Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi, Chase Owens, & Bone Soldier) b. Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, & Yoshitatsu when Takahashi pinned Yoshitatsu with The Pimp Juice DDT. Bone Soldier is the recently turned and repackaged Captain New Japan, who now wheres a skull mask. The heels attacked before the bell, but the faces countered to make things back and forth. Soldier hit Tatsu with a Full Nelson Slam before Takahashi hit the DDT. The heels celebrated to the back with Takahashi's female escorts (in thongs this time around) while Yoshitatsu seemed devastated to once again be the loser. It seems a singles match between Yoshitatsu and Bone Soldier is coming soon.

3. IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa) b. CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii & Yoshi-Hashi) to retain the titles when Tonga pinned Yoshi-Hashi after the Guerrilla Warfare DDT. Cool match that had an awesome finish. Yoshi-Hashi lifted Tonga for his Pumphandle Driver, but Tonga flipped up and nailed the Gun Stun (RKO/Diamond Cutter). Roa then ran in and the two hit Guerrilla Warfare for the win.

4. In the finals of the Super Junior Tag Tournament, Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero & Beretta) b. Taiji Ishimori & ACH when Romero pinned ACH following Vice's finisher, Strong Zero. Another match full of high flying and dives. Great stuff if you like Cruiserweights. After the match Romero took the mic and declared they wanted the Young Bucks and the IWGP Junior Tag Titles at The Tokyo Dome. The Bucks came to the ring and off-mic said "You're on".

5. KUSHIDA s. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion BUSHI with The Hoverboard Lock to win the title for the fourth time. KUSHIDA may be the best cruiserweight on the planet right now. This wasn't as suspenseful as their last match, which was wrought with interference and was a main event match, but it still had a lot of action.

After the match the "Time Bomb" countdown that had been teased for a month or so reached zero. Think the countdown clock that Jericho had, similar thing. It turned out to be the return of Hiromu Takahashi, who had been wrestling  outside of Japan as Kamaitachi. By the looks of the promo he challenged KUSHIDA to a title match, presumably at The Tokyo Dome.

They replayed highlights during intermission

6. Bullet Club "The Elite" (Kenny Omega, ROH World Champion Adam Cole, and ROH/IWGP Junior Tag ChampionsNick & Matt Jackson) b. CHAOS (IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto, Will Ospreay, & Gedo) when Omega pinned Okada with The One Winged Angel. Omega cleanly pinned the World Champion, his opponent for the Tokyo Dome main event.  Ho boy did this have high flying, including a four way suicide dive by all four of Bullet Club's "Elite". There was also a lot of comedy with Club members taking turns double teaming Gedo's beard. Yes, you read that right. One man would hold Gedo by the beard, while another will do a second rope axhandle on it. All four men hit Okada with simultaneous superkick. Okada would have been pinned, but Gedo made the save. This left the 47 year old Gedo standing alone against all four opponents. Gedo bellowed out "F--- You!' and attacked, but he too ate a quadruple superkick. Okada tried a comeback, but Omega countered the Rainmaker with a high knee. Omega hit Okada with The One Winged Angel for the clean pin. The Elite then posed over Okada's fallen body in the ring with all their titles.

7. EVIL p. NEVER Openweight Champion Katsuyori Shibata with an STO to win the title. Another hard physical match from ShibataEVIL actually shoved the referee into a ring post before wrapping a chair around Shibata's head and banging it with another chair. He then gave Shibata a brainbuster on the chair. Shibata kicked out of the brainbuster, so EVIL finished him off with The STO.

8. Hiroshi Tanahashi p. Sanada with two straight High Fly Flow frogsplashes. Great singles match that was definitely as good if not better than their G1 match, and probably the best match on the show. It did look like Tanahashi was trying harder than normal to win by submission, but I couldn't understand the commentary, so I may just be looking to far into that (Tanahashi suffered a rare submission loss to Sanada in the G1). Sanada countered a High Fly Flow with the knees, and went for the kill with the Dragon Sleeper. Tanahashi was able to battle out of Sanada's Dragon Sleeper before finishing off Sanada with the dual High Fly Flows.

9. In the main event, IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito p. Jay Lethal with Destino to retain the title. It was a bit weird to see Lethal main event a New Japan show, and I don't think the crowd truly bought Lethal as a contender. Still it was cool to see New Japan use ROH footage of Lethal and Naito to tell their story. Crowd was chanting for Naito, even though Lethal was wrestling totally as a babyface. Good match that had a slower pace than the previous matches. I guess it was the main event because it was a title match.

After the match Naito took the mic to cut a promo. Hiroshi Tanahashi came to the ring and exchanged words with Naito, presumably making a title mach challenge.

This makes the top matches for WrestleKingdom

IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega
IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA vs. Hiromu Takahashi

A lot of great wrestling on this show. Onto The World Tag League!

World Tag League Night 1 11/18 - Full Show with commentary

As usual with tournament shows, the first half of the has matches involving wrestlers from other blocks and who are not in the tournament. The latter half is the actual tournament matches for the approproate block

1. Teruaki Kanemitsu s. Hirai Kawato with an elevated Boston Crab. This is my first look at Kawato. Both guys are "Young Lions" which means they wear geneic black tights and boots while they earn their dues. This was a very basic match, not much to it. Kanemitsu did seem to have the more agressive style, and Kawato did look like a babyface. After the submission win, Kanemitsu did slap hands with Kawato before leaving the ring. Kawato bowed to the audience before leaving.

2. Hunter Club (Yoshitatsu & Billy Gunn), IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA, & Ryusuke Taguchi b. Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma), Jushin Thunder Liger, & David Finlay when Gunn pinned Finlay with the Fame-Asser.   These matches are always interesting to me because all eight men are babyfaces. Billy Gunn (who looked HUGE compared to when he was on WWE TV) did throw Makabe into the railing though. After Gunn got the pin he and Makabe had a staredown, then Gunn did the "SUCK IT!" routine.

3. Los Ingobernables De Japon (Sanada, EVIL, & BUSHI) b. NEVER Openweight and RPW British Heavyweight Champion Katsuyori Shibata, Yuji Nagata, & Tiger Mask when Sanada made Tiger submit to the Dragon Sleeper. Tiger Mask hit a sick looking tombstone piledriver on BUSHI, and an impressive powerbomb on Sanada. BUSHI and Sanada were able to double team Tiger, enabling Sanada to lock in the Dragon Sleeper for the win. For the record, Shibata regained the NEVER title on November 15th, and won the RPW title on November 10th.

4. CHAOS (IWGP Heavyeight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, & YOSHI-HASHI) b. The Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, & Bone Soldier) when YOSHI-HASHI pinned Owens with his pumphandle driver Karma. Ishii tried several times before finally suplexing Fale (Ishii is like 5'6" and Fale is 6'4" and about 340). Fale and Okada brawled into the corwd where Okada somehow disappeared. Owens took out YOSHI-HASHI (I think) and Ishii went missing. This left Goto to fend for himself against all four opponents, and the beatdown commenced. Soldier wanted to tag out after Goto dodged a top rope splash, but Omega demanded Soldier continue the match. Goto managed a brief comeback before making the hot tag to Okada who ran wild. YOSHI-HASHI tagged in, but The Bullet Club was able to turn the tables. Exciting closing with all men hitting signature moves on each other. Eventually, the ring was cleared and YOSHI-HASHI was able to get the win for his team.

Intermission

5. War Machine (Raymond Rowe & Hanson)Manabu Nakanishi & Henare when Rowe pinned Henare following a Fallout (Combination Belly To Back Suplex by Rowe and Top Rope Legdrop by Hanson). If you haven't seen War Machine in ROH, imagine two Braun Strowmans who can actually work. I figured Henare was eating the pin because I hadn't really heard of him before this. But when Nakanishi was in there it was a good hossfight.

6. Leland Race & Brian Breaker b. Yujiro Takahashi & Hangman Page when Race pinned Takahashi with a Sliced Bread #2. For those that don't know, Leland Race is Harley's son. This is my first time seeing either him or Breaker, and they did come across as a bit green. Breaker does look like a hoss though. The match was nothing special, though I'm a little surprised that Takahashi was the one to get pinned.

7. TenCozy (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima) b. The Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa) when Kojima pinned Roa with a Lariat. Good hossfight. Both teams are a good pair of "tough guys". After getting the pin though, Kojima collapsed on his back. I'm assuming it's just selling until I hear otherwise, because he did make it back to his feet. Also, knowing New Japan, Tenzan and Kojima will likely get a title shot out of this.

Tetsuya Naito came to the ring for the main event. The idea is he will be teaming with a debuting member of Los Ingobernables De Japon. Each member came into the ring separately to build the tension. Then finally, the new member came to the ring with a metal mask on. He revealed himself to be CMLL's Rush

8. IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito & Rush b. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Juice Robinson when Naito pinned Robinson with Destino. I believe this is Robinson's first New Japan main event of any type. Good big-feeling tag match with a logical finish. Rush nailed Tanahashi with a double-arm piledriver, effectively knocking him out of the match. Robinson kicked out of a few big moves, but eventually fell to Destino.

After the match, Naito cut a promo on Tanahashi, and gave Rush a LIJ hat.

Good show, but the last couple major shows were better. That said, this is the opening night of a long tournament. Things will likely get better.
