BREAKING NEWS: Jushin Thunder Liger to appear in NXT

WWE Announced via Twitter that the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger will appear in the next NXT Takeover event on The WWE Network. No word yet on who is opponent will be. Also no word on whether this is a sign of any ongoing relationship with WWE an New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Liger has appeared stateside in many WCW events throughout the years. He won the WCW Light Heavyweight Title from Brian Pillman in 1991, and wrestled Pillman on the first ever WCW Monday Nitro in 1995.

Throughout his 30 year career, Liger has held dozens of championships. He is an 11 time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, a multi0time Junior Tag Champion, and even held titles in Mexico’s CMLL.
