The 1950s were ripe with classic B-Movie sci-fi fun. One of the themes that was jumpstarted by the previous year’s War Of The Worlds was alien invasions. Target Earth was just that, and independently produced effort with many similarities, but with a much smaller budget.
Instead of the alien monsters coming from Mars in War Of The Worlds, Target Earth’s giant robots come from Venus. However, the idea is the same: Mankind faces extinction via alien threat.
